Clean and comfortable
We wanted a quiet, peaceful place as a base for day trips. This place was perfect. And after going places during the day we relaxed with dinner at.the Cidery and wineries close by. Dinner and snack suggestions by Holly were spot on. Loved the place and highly recommend.

A beautiful, peaceful property with amazing views. Check in was super seamless. Very clean and well stalked. Holly made some amazing recommendations for great eats and outings. Would 10/10 recommended.

Great location and excellent amenities
Our family of 4 stayed here for a week over Christmas. The unit is in a great location for exploring the cowichan valley (hikes, wineries, etc). The unit was super clean and had great amenities. The bedroom was very comfortable. The living room has a hide a bed. We planned for our kids to sleep in the bedroom since they go to bed earlier. The hide a bed was memory foam so I found it was fine but my husband who is larger did not like it. Something to consider. If you just need the bedroom, the bed is super comfy. Otherwise it was a perfect stay.

Island Gem
What a delightful place! Everything we needed was here, the suite is so beautifully appointed, designed and spotless! The bed is very comfortable! We had everything we needed and more! We definitely recommend this place! ***** stars! We came to visit family for Thanksgiving and explore the area a bit, great having our own space to come back to. Wonderful view out back and we appreciated the heads up for the Elk in the field, very cool! Loved having the fire pit! So much to do in the area! We walked the Malahat skywalk, incredible views from up there! Golfed a couple rounds at Arbutus Ridge. Wineries( loved being steps away from Unsworth Vineyards) hikes, great restaurants, many of your recommendations, We would definitely stay here again!

Wildfires resulted in us cancelling our Tofino plans and making last minute booking changes to Sylvan Meadows. This was one of the best short term rentals we have stayed at (couple and a 1 year old). The place was super clean, newly renovated, well thought out and has everything you need to be comfortable. Holly went above and beyond with our check in and had lots of great suggestions for family friendly activities. We would stay here again the next time we visit the island.

Great comfortable little spot!
Holly’s place was very clean, well organized and fully stocked with everything our little family needed. Bed was comfy, bathroom was spacious, and everything else was new and well maintained. Holly also communicated to us often and clearly before our arrival with everything we needed to know for checking in and out.

No words won't be enough to describe our stay and the property. This is a hidden gem, a five-star place! We are so glad that we picked this property for our stay in the island. We were hesitant on whether we should choose a standard hotel or this property which is a bit far from the town. Since driving 40 mins is not a matter for us and we wanted to stay away from city we picked this place to give our kids a flavour of farm life. Everything was great during our stay. They have a pull-out sofa which we used as additional bed. The rooms were clean, have everything you need for the stay, TV, books, games, kitchen with all appliances and utensils, washer, dryer. We enjoyed our breakfast at the deck with the lovely view. They also have a barbeque which we didn't use. I am definitely staying again if I go to the island.

The most perfect VRBO!!
Sylvan Meadows is perfectly situated for a visit in the Cowichan valley. We felt at home immediately and were very impressed with all the amenities (and then some), the quiet and peaceful surroundings, the deck and view of the meadow, the cleanliness of the unit and the graciousness of our host...not to mention a VERY reasonable price!! This is the only place we will stay on Vancouver Island if we come again.

Can't say enough good things about this property. Outdoors: Beautiful meadow views all day long. Ready to use firewoods for bonfire. Undercover seatings for outdoor dinning. Indoors: Newly renovated place. All the appliances and kitchen items are clean, bedroom is comfortable with lots of extra blankets, living room has pulled out bed (large) and heat pump for AC and heat, dinning table and chairs for 4, bathroom is very clean and plenty of towels. We appreciate the extra toilet papers! Washer and dryer comes with detergent and dryer sheets. Bathtub is huge and water pressure is super strong! In summary, it feels like your grandma's house with modern furniture and appliances... With very serene view and quietness. Most likely return if we visit Victoria. Thanks!

Quiet and peaceful
The unit is as pictured. Recently renovated and clean with the comforts of home. Bright with nice decor. We didn’t even know the hosts were home. The property is surrounded by farms and there is a winery a few driveways down that offers a restaurant. Wish we would have noticed it sooner. If you have never travelled to the island this unit is ideally located if you plan to visit cowichan bay, want head up the coastal road for a drive or take in wineries. Although there is no chance someone would be spying in the windows at you, it would have been nice to have curtains or shades on the bedroom window to block some of the light coming in,in the morning.
