Our stay in dunnsville was fantastic! The house was beautifully appointed, with all the amenities that we needed. I loved the kitchen and we were able to have family breakfasts every morning. Check in was a breeze, and our host responded to our every need.

This is a comfortable, cozy, well equipped house. The real gems are the outdoor living spaces. The photos don’t do justice to the serene views of the river from both the screened in porch and the large patio.

Amazing View!

This house has amazing views of the Rappahannock River! What you see in the pictures is what you get. If you are not out swimming in the river, the host has plenty of games to entertain you and your family. What a great property! We will be back in the future!

As advertised. Very comfortable and a beautiful setting. It was just the two of us, but because of the layout of the house, it didn't seem like we were rattling around in a huge property. Cozy and comfy. All that said, it is a perfect place for a large family/friend group. There is nothing promised that was not delivered. Pretty sure we'll be back.

Girls weekend

The house had beautiful view of the river and a wonderful screened porch on the second floor, and nice game room with an extra fridge which was nice.

Beautiful view

We enjoyed our stay here! The sunrises over the Rappahannock River are great! The thermostat needing a pin to change heat/cool modes and schedules was our only frustration!

Great family time

The house is older than it appears in the pictures but that just adds to the charm. It was convenient enough to Tappahanock that we ordered dinner and picked it up each night. The kitchen could use flat baking sheets but everything else was available. The king-sized bed in the master room was very comfortable. My mother did not sleep comfortably in the Queen bed, it was too low to the ground. If sleeping in the 2 queen room or in one of the twin beds, you will need to go up and down very steep stairs not suitable for the elderly. The twin beds are not in an enclosed room but more a loft area. To access the game room, you have to exit the main house and go down the outside stairs to enter thru a separate entrance. This was very inconvenient with the smaller children as we did not want them going outside alone. There are no arcade games even though it is showed in the pictures. The dart board only had 2 working darts. The air hockey table fan was not efficient enough to work. It was also extremely windy so unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the outside porch or the fire pit. They did have wood available, which was a nice thought. The wind was so bad it kept blowing the very heavy top off the hot tub, it was NOT easy trying to get it back on. I don't know if there's a way to secure it but that should be looked into. The living room curtains were missing over the big window. We would love to return in the summer to enjoy the beautiful view.

Fun stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Great location and fun activities at the house - even in the winter. The home is a bit run down and in need of some maintenance, but overall great stay.

Lovely getaway with amazing view!

The property sits directly on the Rappahanock River and is a beautiful view! It was 24-35 degrees while we were there so we didn't sit on the porch much but I imagine in summer it's where I would stay. There is so much to do there, too... Ping pong, air hockey, arcade, hot tub. It was just my husband and me but I would love to come back with some of the grands in summer. Thanks for sharing it!

A slice of paradise on the Rappahannock

I cannot say enough positive things about this property. Not only was clean and in good repair, but the owners had clearly put effort into the details of creating a good experience. Entry was straightforward, light switches were labeled, and clear instructions were given for every element of the property. The kitchen was well stocked, and I had no problem cooking large meals for everyone with the provided equipment. Bedrooms were cozy, and common areas were comfortable. The amenities, especially the game room, were a standout. I would absolutely return to this property often.

Great family spot!

Great spot for a small family gathering. We have local family in Burlington, so this place was about 20 mins from them. We were able to host dinner and s’mores one night with the family. It’s always a little tricky because my mother uses a wheelchair. Since there were facilities I the ground floor, this provided a space for all to enjoy without utilizing stairs. I’m sure we’ll be back, we had a great time! Maybe next time we’ll actually get to fish.
