A very spacious secluded bungalow, well equipped with a welcome pack awaiting our arrival. The weather wasn't particularly kind; it rained quite a bit (April) and it was rather cold but the log burner kept us warm and comfortable and the heating could be turned on and off to suit.
The hosts were excellent and on hand to help when needed, but equally would give you the space to enjoy your holiday without intruding if that's what you prefer.
Whilst the main road runs at the bottom of the valley, we rarely heard the traffic and what we heard was feint and unobtrusive. There was no noise from the wind farm close by; and you couldn't really see the turbines anyway.
It was the ideal position for visiting Abbs Head, the Northumberland Coastline with it's beautiful sandy beaches and castle ruins and National Trust and Scottish Heritage properties and grounds
