"We were looking for a spot where we could hang out as a family of 16 coming from 7 spots around the US and Canada. This house worked well with plenty of bedrooms for adult children couples with ensuite bathrooms. Large bunk room for children, in door game/activity space and lots of outdoor space with a great pool for activity. The kids loved the over-the-top palace feel of the mansion. "We enjoyed the view from our rental and the quietness of the community. I was a bit disappointed in the condition of the rental. The furniture was in bad shape and the level of cleanliness was not to my standard. Kitchen table was wobbly and couch and chair were not comfortable. You could bounce in the chair when you sat down. "Great home on the Kankakee River! Fully stocked kitchen, fun loft bedroom, magnificent views of the river and wildlife. We wish we were there longer and also in warmer weather to enjoy the river. "Pros - Beautiful location and kids had an amazing time skipping stones in the river. Con’s - the downstairs toilet ran so we had to turn the water to it off, the kitchen faucet wasn’t just a little wiggly (you could tilt it back and forth/side to side), and there was what appeared to be a whole load of dirty dishes someone had unloaded in the cupboard/shelves.
