Beware of Vacasa host
I am disappointed by this rental process. I’ve enjoyed prior rentals that are Hosted by the Owner...as in the vrBO title. Vacasa is a management company, and they unfortunately knew nothing about the property except what was described on the site, and some of that was inaccurate. They couldn’t tell me what levels the bedrooms and bathrooms were on, or if any had en-suite bathrooms. They are not prompt responding to messaging, if they respond at all. Hours on the phone didn’t get me help or simple information. The online link to the rental agreement didn't work when I originally booked the property, so I included a message on the booking requesting a copy to review before the downpayment was put through. I was immediately charged for the VRBO share and the Vacasa charge was close behind. I never received a response to my message. VRBO was not able to help and referred me back to the host, Vacasa. After finally reaching Vacasa by phone I was told I had already signed the agreement I never saw, and I should log into their site to see the document linked to my reservation number. I have never had such poor customer service, especially when we encountered an issue during our stay! When the stove fuse blew while making supper and the box was in a locked room, the local person was so slow responding that I called Vacasa. We were told we'd have to wait until morning for maintenance. I will never rent another property that is "hosted by Vacasa"!

Up North family trip
First time renting this house, and we’ll be back again. Plenty of space to spread out, with our 4 kids and their families, never felt like we were on top of each other, which can happen quickly. Kitchen needs a bit more space, but that would be my only area to improve on. House was clean and no issues with anything. Our spot on Catfish Lake was tucked away from most boating traffic. The dock is a bit wobbly when boat waves get large, but all in all a great week for us

Beautiful view from an amazing house🌞
We stayed here this year for our family vacation. We all had lots of room and plenty of places to relax and enjoy Catfish Lake. Fishing from the dock was everyones favorite🎣 The house was well stocked with towels and extra bedding. The open concept kitchen and family room gave everyone ample space to hang out together. The bar and game room downstairs were also great for late night game nights.

Beautiful cabin
We rented this cabin for a snowmobile trip. Unfortunately the snow never happened in Wisconsin this year, but the cabin still offered plenty for our group to do during our stay. The cabin was large with several “hang out” areas. Our group enjoyed playing darts and euchre. The bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. The house was also clean. The only problem we had was during check in. We requested an early check in time. We were not granted that despite the house not being used for several days prior to our check in. When our check in time finally did roll around, we were not able to access the house using the key code with the key pad. We tried calling the local manager with the number listed by the door. We left her a message, she never called us back. We called the call center and after all the verifications, we were walked through how to access the spare key. We finally got into the house 45 minutes after our check in time. I know this isn’t the worst thing ever, but this is the first time I have ever had an issue checking in. Overall, we really liked this cabin and enjoyed our stay here.

We had our family Christmas ice fishing gathering. The house was great and we had a great time ice
Overall the stay was what we were expecting and hoping for. Only issue was the ice melting in the garage. Water went towards the entry door versus to a drain or outside.

Terrific Home on a Beautiful Bay - Perfect for a Large Family !!
This home certainly lived up to the expectations raised in the description. Our entire party (we filled the place) were very comfortable, access to the lake was great, indoor & outdoor furnishings were very nice, also close to town and other activities. We could not be happier about this selection!

The house is beautiful. SO glad the owners are willing to share with others.
We arrived late Saturday evening. It was VERY cold in the house, when we first got there (60). We returned up the heat to take the chill off. Lights were on to welcome us in. Music was playing from the direct TV unit. That was nice. By Sunday, we could not turn off the heat. We called Adam, the manager, to get some help. A repair man showed up to help with the AC/heating system, Sunday evening. He was there nearly three hours and said the unit is too small for the size of house. We needed the AC going because the week was going to be in the upper 80's to low 90's all week. What he did, helped, but not perfect. Then Friday late afternoon, we heard water trickling somewhere. Upon investigation, the ceiling in the basement bathroom was leaking water and at least four tiles are damaged. Back upstairs, first looks, we thought it was the toilet stool was leaking because it was wet on back. So, we turned off the water valve there. We had run the dishwasher Friday afternoon too. Friday evening we did another load of dishes. More water in the basement Saturday morning. Now we assume the dishwasher has a leak somewhere. Adam had been called Friday late afternoon, but no response before we left at Saturday morning at 9:30am. We left a note for the housekeeper about the problem. I took three pictures of the damaged bathroom and two pictures of the note I left for the housekeeper. The house did present some problems for us, but could get fixed with some time. The place was perfect for us. As good or better than advertised
We enjoyed the place, lots of soace, also convenient to stores and to the maple syrup facility we were spending time at. When power went out fue to ice storm on the 23rd, Vacasa and the owner had us move to a nearby rental they had. That lost power later in the evening and they gound a third place for us to move into. Despite the weather events, we had a great time. The owners and Vacasa ‘em went above and beyond yo make our trip enjoyable.

Perfect stay!
This home has it all! Very well appointed. Easy to follow directions and very accommodating property management. Plenty of space with nice finishing touches to create a perfect Northwoods experience! I would highly recommend this home to others, especially with a large group - the space is amazing!

We were staying here for a family reunion with people from ages 4 to 76. Place is well appointed, very roomy, nicely decorated. Place was clean, nice beds, and kitchen well stocked. With the addition of all the games downstairs, it worked great. The shuffleboard was the biggest hit. There were two issues we had with the property. There was one downstairs bedroom with no curtains. We added a blanket for privacy. Not a real big deal, but for the rate of this home, we wouldn't expect to need to do that. The second issue is more of a safety issue. When we arrived on Thursday, the driveway was complete ice. We are all from Wisconsin, and realize this is winter. However, there was no salt, sand or even a shovel to address the issue. On Friday morning, I called the management company to ask for assistance. I never did hear back, so I bought salt myself. When we came back from breakfast, it appeared someone lightly salted the driveway. I added my bag of salt to make it manageable. On Sunday morning, our departure time, we had a snowstorm that came in. I was hoping someone would show up at least with a shovel, knowing the driveway is at an 11 degree pitch. No one arrived. And again, no shovel on the premises to deal with the snow ourselves. Luckily, only 2 of our vehicles were not 4 wd. But those got very stuck. We needed to use tow ropes tied to 4wd trucks to make it up the hill. My mother made the comment, if this property is to be listed as a VRBO in winter, it should be maintained as such. Very easily we could have had a collision with the garage door, trees or worse. Nice place, but either change the snow removal/ice procedures or don't list in winter. Regards, Scott

Beautiful property
My 95 year old dad came in from Florida for his birthday and we celebrated him up at the lake. He loves to fish so we rented a pontoon and the eleven of us had a beautiful fall week but unfortunately we got skunked on fish. We loved the cabin. The only thing we had trouble with was the grill which looked like it was never cleaned and it wouldn’t heat up and then there was a grease fire. When we called the service line they sent someone to clean it . The response time was excellent! The only other thing was we could of used is better knives ...nothing was sharp enough. This is are second visit on catfish lake ...we rented just down the shore a ways. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for a wonderful stay . Would highly recommend this property.
