Always Love Coming Back
Spent a few days here for family Christmas nearby. We've stayed here several times before and it almost feels like coming home. Love the area, the beauty of the lake and the quiet neighborhood. Our adult kids also love coming here-we can spend time together and with nearby family. Susan & Ron are excellent hosts with everything you need provided. Cabin is always clean and welcoming. Great communication. Thanks for another great stay. We will be back!

Family Time

Pre-Holiday Stay
Just wanted a quiet place to relax with some old friends. This fit the bill! Was taken back by the fact that we shouldn't walk in the neighborhood because we wouldn't be recognized by the association members.

Perfect getaway
We came for a music festival and this home was the perfect spot to unwind and relax. Having our morning coffee while seeing the river from the poech was so perfect. We saw turtles, a bald eagle and blue herons during our stay. Everything was super clean and well stocked with everything one would need for a stay. Def would stay here again. The owners are quick to respond to any questions you may have and very nice. Perfect hosts.

Weekend cabin stay
We stayed the weekend for a family get together at a family members house on the same lake. It was convenient and spacious with things to do for the kids in the house on our downtime. Great location and beautiful view of the lake with lots of birds, turtles, and other wildlife. Very peaceful cabin setting!

Friends Reunion
The property was just as described, perhaps better! Very comfortable. Kitchen was very well stocked for preparing own meals, pleasantly surprised. The screened in porch was just as the hosts described. Thoroughly enjoyed relaxing there early morning with juice and enjoying the lake, boaters, and wildlife in the evening. This area is quiet, peaceful, and beautiful! I did not leave property from check-in to check-out!! Made for a perfect getaway with friends, as summer comes to a close and school resumes. I would return to this cabin annually, if possible.

Excellent location for trips if any kind!
Very nice house in a secluded area on a private lake. Screened in porch with a nice view of the lake. Nice fire pit area with tons of firewood on hand. The view of the lake in the morning with the sun shining on the trees across the lake is very pretty. It creates a very pretty reflection on the lake.

An absolute gem! My son didn't want to leave! The screened porch was the perfect place to enjoy the evenings and listen to the rain in the mornings. The fire pit was wonderful. We love "our" house on the lake!
I think this was our fourth stay at Cedar Lodge.....and we love coming back to it. It's our first choice when we are in the area and need a place to stay. We were in town for a family wedding. My husband, our three adult kids and one significant other all stayed a various number of days. The cabin was clean, has everything we needed, close to family and the venue and in a beautiful location. Very peaceful and beautiful. Owners are very responsive to any concerns or questions. Power went out while we were there (storm?) I contacted Susan, who did a quick check on what was going on with the power outage (24K out?) and kept us updated on the progress. Power was back on fairly quickly and our weekend proceeded without a problem. We love this house and will be back whenever it is available and we are in the area. It really is starting to feel like "our" cabin! Thank you!

Disconnect close to the big city…
Absolutely amazing cabin close to Louisville but secluded enough to fill like you are far away from the hustle and bustle! From the sunrise on the water to the twinkle of twilight in the evening the cabin is situated perfectly next to the lake. This is a great place to rest and relax!

Nice quiet Cabin on the Lake
The cabin was nice, could use some additional dusting and pest control. It is in a wooded area, so bugs will always be a concern. Know before you book, you do not have permissions to use lake. That is unfortunate. Basic Kitchen supplies and more available.

Comfortable Cabin Escape
We took a short four day trip down to Southern Indiana/Louisville. The drive up to the cabin is picturesque and the view from the screen porch is stellar. The beds and rooms were very comfortable and we played several games both in the living room and out on the porch. The hosts were very communicative and proactive to make sure you were able to find the property. Wifi was strong and fast which was great since we lost cell service. We stopped at the local general store in Elizabeth to get some deli sandwiches, the store had several basic goods if you arrive late and just need something quick. Highly recommend staying here!
