This Is It
If you’re free m central Florida & just wen through 2 hurricanes, combined with the ridiculous political climate we’ve trudged through for 4 yrs, peace, quiet, tranquility is exactly what you need & exactly what this cabin provides. Phenomenal. Incredible setting. The host couldn’t have been more accommodating and responsive. Loved every minute of it. Please don’t let the secret out.

River Access
The house is right next to the river which made fishing and tubing easy and fun. The town of Elkins was a short 15 minute car ride away. We enjoyed taking a train out of the Elkins Depot - it brought us up a mountain to a waterfall. Also, Lambert winery was a fun day trip about an hour ride from the house. JB, the owner , was very generous with his pours. We enjoyed the quiet, rural setting and didn’t mind driving a little to get to different places. Overall, very relaxing.

Vacation comments
Very clean. Fully stocked kitchen - the best we've ever had. We had a power outage that presented two problems - one: it would have been nice to have a phone number to contact the owner. two: there are plenty of supplies (lanterns, flashlights, etc.) to handle this but didn't know where they were. This should be noted in your information list. Overall, it is a nice place to spend a week.

Great, Quiet Vacation House even on Memorial Day
We had a great 4 day break and were looking for somewhere quiet compared to most Memorial Day lake locations. The house is right on the river. THe levels were low so it was more thans afe with supervision for our 4 kids ages 4-9 out there. We tubed and kayaked down the river. Unfortunately, water levels were too low for us to get the canoes out but the property has them as well for a very modest watercraft fee ($75) that covers the entire stay. The setting is beautiful, quiet, and full of wildlife. Just what we were looking for. Great hiking is very close.

Test drive before booking with the kids
The property was fine although a little sterile feeling. Not cozy but I get it; easy to clean and turnover for guests. Dishwasher stunk badly like another reviewer mentioned. The biggest turnoff and sole reason for never returning is the surveillance cameras. I understand why an owner would want them but they were not disclosed anywhere. Not disclosing the visible cameras made me wonder if there were more that I could not see. Very disappointed and nearly caused me to abandon the rental. We felt uncomfortable and watched the entire stay. I would not bring my kids to a such a place that could be monitoring their every move and listening to every word spoken. If you want a secluded river location and don't mind big brother, this place is perfect.

Amazing river front cabin
We could not have enjoyed our stay more. Host was flexible and accommodating, cabin was clean and well stocked. Great remote location that is easily accessible to so much of what this area of WVa has to offer. We hope to come back and enjoy the cabin in the summer. Great find!

Amazing river bungalow!
Owners are friendy and respond quickly! The house is amazing, as are the views! Being right on the river was a plus for our kids! Home is clean and updated! We will DEFINITELY be staying here again! This was the perfect family Thanksgiving getaway!!

Just a beautiful place! Clean and well stocked home right next to the river. Plenty of water craft available and had everything we needed. Great location- within an hours drive to many tourist spots. Highly recommend!!

Simply amazing
Having the solitude is very much needed. The location by the river was perfect. The house was amazing. Response time from owner was the best I have ever been apart of. If you are going anywhere within a mile of this place and need somewhere to stay, this is it.

Really enjoyed our stay. It's a great house, secluded yet not far to pick up groceries. If you're looking for peace and quiet-- this is the place. Had lots of fun in the river. My husband and son fished every day. Definitely use the inner tubes for a lovely float down the river. Very well stocked home and Jason is quick to reply to questions.

Nice and quiet location but some sheets seemed dirty, beds not swept under, dishwasher stunk badly. Freezer very dirty. Lighting in house very dim.

Secret West Virginia Getaway
I'm a lifelong West Virginia resident and have rented many vacation cabins or house in our state. And by far this location is the best. The location is awesome it is away from everyone you're basically by yourself in the middle of the woods and an awesome house three bedroom two bath great for the whole family plus the dogs, Jason always replied if I had a question this location really has anything you could ask for you still have internet, TV, and awesome open floor plan kitchen into the living room with high ceilings and a great wrap around deck, we had a blast and didn't even have to leave our state, and we will absolutely be back again and again. Thanks Jason

Elkins WV trip
The river was incredible, so peaceful. The home was convenient to hiking trails, RR excursion and the dinner theater. Kitchen had all of our needs, beds were comfortable, really good TV reception and internet connection for such a remote location! I highly recommend this home!

Exactly what we needed
This place is right on the river. Our three year old and five year old grandchildren waded in, built stone sculptures, and skipped rocks. In the evening we built a fire in the fire pit, roasted hotdogs, potatoes with ramps, and finally marshmallows. Inside is roomy and comfortable, with plenty of room for our party of four adults and two kids. Jason was Accessible and responsive. I would go back in an instant.

Great location to enjoy WV outdoors
Beautiful location , property/cabin was in excellent shape. Owner of the cabin was helpful and communicated appropriately along the way. We went for a fishing a trip and the area was loaded with trout streams that kept us busy. The weather didn’t cooperate so the cabin with all of the amenities kept us entertained…don’t pass this one up.

A piece of God’s beauty!!
Our family decided to take a trip after Christmas and just rest and enjoy some down time! This place was absolutely perfect!! Peaceful, beautiful, quiet, private and the view of the river was breathtaking!! We love the snow and all the beauty it brings!! This place had it all!! Jason was excellent to work with! He answered all my questions within 10 minutes! Awesome host! There are too many great things about this place to name them all! Perfect getaway!!

Holiday getaway
We spent a great long holiday weekend at the bungalow. Even with colder weather, we fished, hiked, and the kids played in the creek. The host was very accommodating as we figured out how to seat all 9 of us for a holiday meal.
