"The drive way was surprisingly challenging to get out of because of the limited view of north bound traffic. Thankfully 101 was not busy. Be ready for steps and a workout to unload your belongings. There are 2 good sized spots to park and the stairs are not steep. The house has windows across the front that made the stay a blessing. "Overall, our two families had a wonderful stay! Lovely historic home, very clean, spacious, and charming. Communication with the host was great. It was a hot weekend, and we were thankful for the AC units. Didn't use the fireplaces! We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen - there were decent pans, sharp knives, good appliances. "Our host was very helpful in planning our stay and accommodating people coming from 3 states and 2 countries coming together. This was the perfect space to share and feel at home fir our time together. We appreciated the colorful walls and the comfortable furniture and the well stocked kitchen utensils. "We finally had a "destination Thanksgiving" and this property definitely delivered the peaceful and serene setting we were hoping for. Instead of a "Black Friday" shopping rush, we decided to walk along the river and follow the staircase trail. The sound of rushing water, falls, and rapids sure beat the sounds of a typical Black Friday in the shopping centers. We certainly enjoyed the house, views, and location. Would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat."

"We loved staying here. They’ve got all the pots pans salt pepper and Cajun seasonings as well as sauces. For checking in the check list was a huge process and I wasn’t sure and am still not sure if I was supposed to fill that or the cleaning people. I wish there was more of an explanation there. I’m also not fond of having to check and make sure the cleaners did everything right. Not my job. But all in all, good experience"

"My Aunt was turning 84, the last of her family. So we decided to surprise here and my cousins came from Maryland, Oklahoma, Idaho, California and Washington. This was a perfect location; large spacious yard, lots of space indoors to display pictures and thee game room kept everyone talking. Central location for those in Washington and staying at hotels. Views of thee water was outstanding. I would stay there again if travels bring me back."
