50th anniversary
We rented this home to accommodate our family for our 50th anniversary. Our grandchildren range from 9 months to age 17. Family of 22 stayed here and it great!! Well stocked kitchen and many areas to spread out and not feel cramped. Had a awesome time recommend if your looking for a beautiful home👍

AWESOME VACATION
Our stay was awesome! The mansion was very adequate for our family, With beds for all. The kitchen was spacious with plenty of room for all of us. The games provided like foosball, shuffleboard, etc. were so much fun, The pontoon and the lake were great. The area for children in the basement is awesome❣️❣️❣️ The Mansion So clean and comfortable. We will come again.

Nice big rental house on a lake
My family enjoyed our time here for a reunion. The good: it's a very large house and we were all comfortable in the bedrooms in the house and had plenty of space for meals. We loved the bear theme throughout the house; someone counted 29 bear figurines around the house. The childrens play rooms were great. There were some old outdoor toys the children played with although the old croquet set gave a couple folks splinters. The kitchen was fairly well equipped. There were quite a few fishing poles available that we enjoyed using after we bought bait. We appreciated the wood for the outdoor fireplace and enjoyed smores a couple nights. There were some opportunities for improvement: The pontoon boat we paid extra for, that the listing said was newer, had 530+ hours on it plus the radio didn't work and unfortunately it was missing the tow rope for the tube. There was no sandy beach, the waterfront area was full of vegetation. The guest house with bunkbed was very basic, had a slight odor. There were a number of minor maintenance issues throughout the main house: several lightbulbs out in the basement, hot tub not working, a little mold below hot tub in basement, deep fryer full of dirty oil, smoker grill didn't work and gas grills were very rusted. That said, the house was very large, the lake was beautiful and we enjoyed our time together. Overall, we were happy staying here but there were a number of little things that, considering the price, kept it from being a 5 star property

This house is beautiful, needs a lot of maintenance. No beach. Needs a really good cleaning. Plenty of space for family (15 of us). Yard was nice with outdoor games.

Family Getaway
This place worked perfectly for our family getaway for large group size. It had separate living areas so the kids could do their things like play video games. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with a variety of kitchen appliances and items to feed the large group.

Our Family loved it and want to come back. Great for a large family with lots of kids ages 1-16.
I was disappointed in the beach area for the little ones. We just set up some water toys in the huge back yard and they had a great time. We will definitely be back.

Family vacation
The house and property were fabulous. Twelve people and everyone left after a week so happy. We had beautiful weather so we were able to use the pontoon boat every day, rented jet skis one day, fished off the dock, played the many indoor and outdoor games. There was no need to leave the property except maybe groceries. Would highly recommend and Lisa is very helpful if you have problems or questions.

Week with family
Overall the place has great space, very nice views and a very quiet location. We are returning. We are hoping some concerns we have will be addressed. It is a very nice place and all 22 of us enjoyed it very much. If you want a quiet and large enough space for your family to play, this would be a good one for you. Toys for the littles: Many broken and the door going into a play area that has a bunk bed seems to be unsafe. Above this area is a hot tub that doesn't work and it smells moldy. You can see through the floor to the above area. Again safety concerns for the littles specifically that are downstairs. This was discussed briefly with the owner.

Fun and Games at the Elysian Mansion
Our group gathered from North Dakota, Idaho, Ohio, Texas and Minnesota. There were comfortable beds for everyone, great gathering spaces for all and so many nooks and crannies if you wanted a minute alone. The playrooms were a definite hit with the littles; and the shuffleboard, pool and air hockey were a hit with the bigs. The property owner, Lisa, was so accommodating and great to work with. We highly recommend this property.

Perfect!
Our stay at Shoreview mansion was fantastic! All of 23 of our family was there, ages 3-68. Everyone had their own space & no one ever was lacking in things to do. If you have a big family like ours you won't be sorry with this property! Having the pontoon was a great addition, we used it everyday! The huge kitchen for cooking our meals was great also. And the pool table in the dining room was a nice also. Perfect place to gather & shoot pool & socialize while meal prep was going on. I can't express enough how fantastic it was. We had the most perfect weather also with mild days & cool evenings. We had a little issue with the hot tub but Lisa came yet that day to take care of it. Was really great to meet her & her husband. Awesome people! Hopefully one day in the future we can rent this great property again.

Great place to celebrate!
This is our family's 3rd year staying in this vrbo. Many memories have been made. Our grandchildren are too old for the children's play rooms, but enjoy all the other games. We took our pontoon out everyday to swim and lounge in the lake. Love the space we all could have even though we spent most of the beautiful week outdoors!

Exceeded expectations!!
Our family of 19 stays at a VRBO each summer somewhere in MN. And I can tell you…this place is exceptional!! Our family (ranging in ages from 6-70+) ALL enjoyed this mansion!! The upstairs bedrooms were large and gave each family a space of their own. The main floor bedroom was great for those who didn’t like the stairs. The whole house was very well taken care of and very clean. The kitchen was very well stocked with anything and everything we needed. The pool table and shuffle board table got used continuously throughout our stay!! There was plenty of bedding and towels for everyone, even with our large group (this has not been the case everywhere we’ve stayed!). The downstairs was a hit for the kids!!! Lake Francis is one of the cleanest/nicest lakes in southern MN and we enjoyed boating, tubing, skiing, etc. The kids fished off the dock every day, multiple times a day. The cabana was great for a quick run to the bathroom and to store fishing bait, poles, etc in. (No one in our group slept in there, but there are beds in there too!!) The yard was wonderful for yard games (bean bags, spike ball, beersby, etc). The only downfall for our family was that there wasn’t a place to swim off the beach as there are lily pads and cattails all along the shore which makes for a pretty green/algae/weedy filled shoreline. However, the owner can do nothing about this as these are protected in the lake. We just went out to the middle of the lake, which was very clear/clean. Lisa is absolutely wonderful to work with and was very responsive and accommodating!! I would definitely recommend this amazing place for a family getaway!!! There is truly something for everyone!!! New Years family gathering
We enjoyed our stay in Elysian. Beautiful home and lots of extras. We had some small children in our group and the toy rooms in the basement were a big hit. The large kitchen allowed us to prepare and serve meals in a timely manner. Everyone enjoyed the comfortable setting. I recommend this house for family gatherings.

Great for family gatherings!
Our extended family gathered for an early December holiday celebration at the Mansion. We have stayed at this home for three times over the past several years and plan to return often in the future. It has wonderful gathering spaces for family to play and visit. The changes the new owner, Lisa, has made have certainly added to the enjoyment of guests! We spent hours in the beautiful living room, snuggled up on the new comfortable furniture which lends itself to long casual conversations for all ages. The man cave with its new furniture was a hit with all of our football fans throughout the weekend. The children spent hours in the ball pit room and the large playroom with its own stage! They had fun using the costumes and props available to create their own show. Lisa was always prompt in response to any questions throughout the entire experience. She really cares about her guests having a wonderful experience. She even had a beautiful huge holiday live evergreen tree decorated and waiting for us when we arrived. Large extended family lasting memories are easily made here.

Family reunion 2021
Very good overall. Well supplied with kitchen utensils --even spices and laundry detergent. Our rented pontoon performed well and the kids enjoyed many hours of tubing on a quiet lake. The beds were comfortable and there was good space for 16 of us. The kids ages ranged from 15 to 24. We made good use of the pool table and shuffleboard tables. Our only complaint was the furniture. There was seating for only 5 people in the beautiful living room. The bar stools were broken or the new ones were very uncomfortable and we did not use them. To the new owners I would suggest they invest in some good quality bar stools and new living room furniture with seating for 10 or more. A fun week and everyone said they would like to do it again,
