"We held our family Christmas here. 13 people, 7 adults and 6 children. We spent 6 days here. People played pool, ping pong, games, swam and we grilled outside. This house has everything you would in your own home! One day I hosted our huge family gathering of 40+people, plenty of room, it was nice outside and inside and once again everything is provided at the house. I would recommend this house to everyone. Beautiful home. I will rent this house again. Julie"

"I booked this place as a home base for chasing the eclipse back in April. As far as "small" places go, I loved this one. A nice open layout makes it easy for you to unpack and maneuver around. I was traveling between St. Louis and Carbondale during my stay and I liked the small, quaint area the home is located. "This was by far the worst rental I’ve ever stayed in. There were cameras in every virtually every window several of which were pointed toward the interior making us feel very uncomfortable. There were no linens on any of the beds. When we finally found them, they didn’t smell or appear to be clean. The house had no wifi and no dining table. The only dishes we could find were two small cups. Overall an absolutely horrible place to stay. "

"Our stay was good. Everything that was needed was there. The house is rustic and dark, having a total of two windows in one of the rooms. The biggest negative was not having control of the AC/heater. The instructions said to keep the thermostat at certain temperatures. There was no thermostat.
