My husband and I made a last-minute decision to visit Eureka Springs for Thanksgiving weekend. We had planned to travel there on Friday, but decided to extend our vacation one more day and booked the Lookout Lodge for Thursday night.
We arrived after dark, a little later than anticipated. The drive from Houston was fun but exhausting (12 hours total!). Sandy, one of the owners, called before we arrived, to confirm that we were still planning on staying and to make sure we knew how to get there.
Even though it was Thanksgiving night Sandy and Adam were very gracious and got us checked in with all the info we needed to get a good start on our stay in Eureka Springs.
And the room was simply perfect. It was decorated in a cozy mountain lodge style, with so much attention to detail. The hardwood on the walls, warm colors, and bear-themed decor were a great alternative to the usual nice-but-boring feel of "ordinary" hotel rooms (Holiday Inn, for example...). The room was spotlessly clean (bathroom included!) and everything worked. Wi-fi was top-notch.
If I could rate the Lookout Lodge ten stars, I would! Nothing but compliments to give about our stay there!
