Everything about the property was first class. Very clean, well appointed with guests ultimate comfort in mind. Charming cabin, very comfortable with many upgrades and special touches. Great location and perfect for a mountain getaway. The setting was like out of a painting and the hosts were welcoming, responsive and excellent communication was much appreciated.

Another wonderful stay at Cabin on the Sky. It was a bit warmer than usual but it didn’t deter us from enjoying the beautiful surroundings and getting some hiking in. The views and the river are our cue to slow down, take in the scenery and relax. Cabin on the Sky is our happy place!

Beautiful spot to reset!

This was our second time staying at David’s cabin, and we will be back for a third visit! Such a comfy spot located along the river. Can’t beat the views from any room in the house! Relaxing trip. Cannot wait to return!

This cabin is perfection….my husband and I had the most relaxing weekend and the most amazing nights sleep with the sound of the river coming through our windows. We spent hours outside in the Adirondack chairs just watching the water flow by with the majestic mountains as the backdrop. David and Lynn were fantastic hosts and you could tell they put their hearts and souls into providing everything you might need for a peaceful vacation. We cannot wait to come back….

Beautiful Nature Getaway

This is such a charming cabin. In a town that is nestled in the midst of the cascades. The river rushing by right outside makes for a lovely dining ambiance if you crack a window open in the sunroom. And the view from the hot tub is just beautiful. Was a little bummed we weren't able to see the strawberry moon, was a little too cloudy and tucked behind a mountain. But with how beautiful the rest of the town and cabin was we didn't feel that bad about missing it. I 100% would recommend this place to anyone who is looking at Index and trying to decide where to stay. The host is great to deal with, very timely with his responses and even gives you tailored driving instructions depending on the rout you are coming from. David, thanks for sharing A Cabin On The Sky as a vacation house.

Amazing Location, Cozy Cabin

We absolutely love coming to this cabin. The views are simply stunning! The sound of the river is so peaceful and relaxing and has an added bonus of drowning out any snoring sounds! The bed is so comfortable that I checked the brand to see if I could get one like it.There are very pleasant hikes nearby which we also enjoyed. Even just walking down the road provides a beautiful view.The Cabin has many extras that make for a very enjoyable stay: extra blankets, games, spices, shampoo and conditioner, etc. After our third stay, we feel more like we are coming to a relative’s house for a visit than renting a VRBO. Thank you, David!

The Mighty Sky

The cabin was right on the river and the rushing sound of the Skykomish River lulled us to sleep at night. The surrounding mountains were spectacular and awe inspiring.The cabin was cozy and furnished with some wonderful vintage pieces of furniture. Overall, this place was very well maintained and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay.It's a great place to go if you want to destress to a quiet, relaxing part of the PNW.
