Secluded, quirky and very well equipped holiday let.....
The container's location feels wonderfully isolated and secluded looking out over stunning countryside....even though you are just a handful of miles from Exeter city centre. My wife and I found the container to be very cosy equipped with everything you could possibly need, and it's quirky layout is finished to a high standard. We will definitely be returning!

a real hideaway
Urlaub im Container ist schon ungewöhnlich. Aber dieser Container enthält alles, was man braucht und ist liebevoll und durchdacht eingerichtet. Für zwei Personen ideal, als Familie zu viert bisschen eng, aber möglich. Absolut ruhige Lage, morgens und abends kommen die Rehe, um sich beobachten zu lassen. In der Küche alles vorhanden, was man so braucht. Sauber und gepflegt. Eindeutige Empfehlung!

Beautiful place
We had a lovely few days in this quirky and fun place. Set in a great location to get around and see the city, beaches and some lovely national trust places all nearby! Well equipped and nicely decorated property with everything you need fit cleverly in such a small but perfectly formed place.

We loved our visit to the container. Very impressed by how it is kitted out with all the essentials and sitting on the decking first thing in the morning and in the evening watching the deer and the bats was just amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of tranquil countryside with others. All the detailed information provided on finding the container was invaluable. What an amazing adventure we had. Very comfortable and parking enough for 2 cars.

Quiet retreat
This cabin was well equipped and clean. If you were older the raised bedroom may be tricky but we enjoyed it. Quiet and nearly in the woods.

Enjoyable stay
Nice alternative to a static caravan in a great setting. Beware single track roads if driving locally in the dark. Well equipped other than needing spare tea towel and coffee pods that aren’t so strong (ristretto)!

Return visit for peace & tranquillity in a stunning part of Devon
Less than 15 mins from the centre of Exeter, yet utterly stunning and peaceful. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, and with heaps of privacy, this really is an amazing getaway. Our kids loved sleeping on the sofa bed, and whilst it's a squeeze for four, it's jolly good fun! Callum is the perfect host - just down the track if you need anything at all. Last year we stayed for two nights, and this year we came back for four. Kids were so sad to leave and come back to our "boring" home! Thank you Callum for letting us come back! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you are looking for something unique, fun and with amazing scenery all around you.

A lovely few days in Huxham Hideaway. It’s had all the things we needed, we especially liked the board games which came in handed on a rainy morning. A great outdoor space and we loved the quietness of no one but nature around.

Peaceful getaway!

Chilled weekend
Just what we needed! We had a lovely chilled weekend. The property was lovely and quirky, which is what we were looking for. Everything was clean and tidy for our arrival. We had a city close by to visit if we wanted it. If you looking for a peaceful weekend away with a feeling your the only ones around,(apart from the singing birds and the odd Deer) but the option of a city and villages close by , then this is for you!

It may be a container but it’s a very lovely container! Warm and cosy and well presented. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this has everything you’re seeking. We didn’t want to leave......but hoping to come back!

Amazing, tranquil spot especially for the pooch
Had such an amazing short break here. Owner happy to answer any questions you may have, very helpful. Went with my beagle Charlie who can be a little reactive, but it was absolutely perfect set up for her so I could just relax too!! Extra measures I can see have been taken to ensure your privacy are an amazing touch!! Cabin is lovely, clean, has everything you need and more! Shower was amazing! Thank you for a lovely stay, I will definitely be coming back again 😀

Certainly unique, incredibly peaceful & amazing views
We'd been looking for somewhere close to Exeter to stay for a couple of nights with our two kids, and wanted a place which was good value for money, away from the crowds and "fun" to stay. This place ticked all of the boxes. The fact we also had amazing weather was a bonus, but there are plenty of games inside, had it been raining. Fast Wi-Fi and a telly with Netflix too. What more could you want! Thanks Callum for letting us stay. Booking process was easy, check-in simple and we enjoyed a really fun couple of days away with the kids. The container is packed full of pretty much all the amenities you could need, and the space is incredibly well arranged.

A little difficult to find
The property is in need of a little sorting out, we came back from a day out it was pouring with rain we opened the door to go in and the water came off the roof straight into the property so quickly that we had to move the bookcase and mop the water up,it needs guttering and some sort of protection above the door. The door had dropped making it difficult to open and close,and if you are a little on the short size you will find it a little difficult to reach things, and could do with a shelf in the shower. If the points raised can be sorted out then it will be a nice weekend retreat.

Gorgeous unique place to stay
What a lovely place to stay! Myself, finace and dog mack stayed here for 2 nights. Location is great, close to Exeter but not too far out. It is quite hard to find though, the address will take you to a neighbouring farm along the same road. Look out for a doggy day care sign on the gate. However we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Shower is brilliant! TV has Netflix, although we didn't use it as we were out all day. Bed is soo comfy. Wood burner is a nice touch. The floor in the bathroom is made of 1p coins...pretty cool! We didn't get to meet the owners but knew we could contact him if we had any queries. I would say 3 could stay here at a push, it's quite open, not really anywhere for privacy. Loads to do round about, plenty walks for the dog. Will be returning!

Wookies Weekend Get Away
Everything was perfect with the cabin and the grounds, easy to find and no problem at all. the cabin is so cleaver with so many little details and all the home comforts you would expect. the dogs have to be on a lead but that wasn't a problem at all when in the grounds. the views are out of this world and the area is so peaceful and quiet you forget how close to Exeter you are. we had deer and wildlife wondering in front of the cabin in the mornings which was great. we will defiantly be going back soon as this is a perfect base for the area. the one and only thing which I could be down about was the film stick wasn't working but with a view like this you really don't need the film channel lol. we can not wait to go back. Lovely stay
A lovely stay, very modern. In a field so great for our two labradors. It is smaller than expected but we were out with the dogs all day so wasn’t a problem. Great location as near Exeter; which has lots of dog friendly places. More suited for 2 people than 4. Sofa bed lays on the floor and main double bed is low to the ground, but we slept fine. Great central heating so good for all weathers. There is a gate that shuts on the grounds which locks at 10/11pm, but you are given a key to unlock it if you are out late, or if it closes early. There was milk in the fridge when we arrived. Dogs are not allowed off lead, and the decking is open.

Lovely quiet location. Good to wake up in the morning and look out over the countryside.
Container was nicely decorated. Bed was the most comfortable we have slept in, or though the sofa bed was very hard and unfortunately uncomfortable. It was a relaxing place to stay, a good way to start the Christmas break before all the hustle and bustle starts.

A unique charming luxury hideaway
I booked Huxham hideaway for a weekend escape prior to attending a client meeting in Exeter on Monday and thought I’d make a weekend of it with my wife, what a beautiful place it is, located just under 5 miles from the centre of Exeter but surrounded by countryside you’d think you were miles from anywhere. When you arrive at the property you head down a private driveway until you encounter the rear of an old green storage container, an exit from the car and a walk to the front and you encounter firstly a spectacular view across rolling hills, a beautiful outside decking area and in to a luxurious living space, from a modern stylish shower room complete with penny pieces set Into the floor and hotel style soaps and gels, to a real cooks kitchen with every utensil you could require. The lounge area has a cozy log burner and comfortable seating, we opted for sitting with the log burner going, a glass of red looking over the afternoon and evening views but you’ve also got WiFi, and tv with amazon fire stick, for the evening movie. Highly recommended place with all the trimmings of a luxury cottage, we will certainly be back.
