Lawns for cricket in the evenings; mud flats to explore at low tide; a wee beach or two to wander along; log fire for chilly autumn mornings and those long holiday evenings sitting round playing board games and cards together. "Beautiful view of Pelorus Sound. Short drive from Havelock. Local beach not awesome for swimming but a short drive to good swimming in Anakiwa. Good hiking and MTB tracks close by. House was very well appointed. Spotty cell service and no wifi."

"We enjoyed our stay at this lovely family bach in Ngakuta bay. Location was great, right on the water, Ngakuta loop trail, and the link trail. We enjoyed the toys and game room. This is a classic kiwi bach and you need to bring your own sheets and towels. We did not hear back when we inquired about the possibility of renting linens. The property is what we expected from a kiwi back and we really enjoyed our stay. "

"A little haven, idyllically set in the middle of a vineyard. Great heated lap pool. Very good wifi and TV. Owner even left milk and a bottle of his own Sauvignon Blanc in the fridge. We spent quite some hours touring the local vineyards by car and bike. "

"Lovely location, tucked away in Grovetown. Owners house is on the same site about 50 metres away. Very tidy and in excellent condition. Bach is not the building in the photo, but a part of the bottom floor - doesn't have a kitchen as such - just bench. So cooking is plug in electic hob and bench oven. No water in kitchen, so food, washing is all to be done in thebasin in bathroom next to the toilet - which is a bit of a pain if people are in the bathroom."

"We were a mature family and stayed 4 nights. It was like a home from home with modern kitchen and appliances. Two outside seating options. A couple of sunloungers would have been appreciated but we could not fault the property really. And we would book again. My daughter would have liked a mirror upstairs and a plug adapter so you could put the fan on and charge a phone and some scissors in the kitchen. But we loved staying and it was easy to find. Thank you. "

"The property was very much as advertised. Great location, close to all ammenities etc. Directions a little confusing, instructions should begin with obtain keys from foyer, not pull up at garage door which will open automatically. A number of badly soiled dishes were found in the dishwasher that had to be hand scrubbed. The baby Q auto ignition doesn’t work. Need a new non stick fry pan, others have stuffed the one available for use. Aside from that very comfortable and quiet. Enjoyed the stay."

"We absolutely loved the tranquility and location of this unit. We were really ready to simply rest and relax in a beautiful spot at this point in our vacation and this was perfect for our family of four. Everyone had privacy but it was also well provisioned for a family. Be aware that it isn't close to much so be sure to get groceries on your way there because once you're there you won't want to leave."
