Fall Getaway
Enjoyed our stay very much. Nice and secluded which was exactly what we were looking for. The cabin was very well equipped and lacked for nothing. The host of this property was very attentive and stayed in touch when power went out for a short time which I appreciated very much. Overall, I would highly recommend this cabin.

Amazing!!!
We were absolutely amazed at the surroundings and quiet! The home had everything we needed or could want! Communications with the host Angela was great! We enjoyed the wonderful fireplace every day and sitting at the kitchen table enjoying our meals or coffee on the porch! We would absolutely recommend this home and hope to stay again in the future!

Quiet getaway
The property is in a quiet location. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The owner has done a terrific job of landscaping the property. We spent many hours just sitting on the front porch looking at the mountains. Ok, it was a little chilly, but nothing a fuzzy blanket couldn't fix! We laughed at the very friendly beggar squirrels, who came up very close to us. The property is about 15 minutes from Fairplay, with much of that being a dirt road (washboard). We were glad we drove the truck and not the motorcycle!

Comfy and Quiet Cabin in the Woods
Very clean and comfortable cabin. Positioned fairly close to two small towns with all the comforts you would need. Close to a few good hiking trails. Beautiful drives in and out. Quiet area with fair privacy. Comfortable home with 2 king beds. Everything was as comfortable as you could hope for. Wifi was better than expected but don’t expect high speed for remote video meetings or the like. Take the hosts for their word when they say the road in can be a bit nerve wracking. A bit rough for a sedan even in the summer but anything bigger will be perfectly fine. Even the sedan was fine if you’re not bothered by a brief bumpy ride. All in all a nice stay and nice home.

Peace and tranquility!
Loved this property. We saw more chipmunks and squirrels than people while staying here. Our only complaint is the road getting there was terrifying. Miles of washboard dirt roads were sketchy, even in our 4 wheel drive truck. Guess that’s part of mountain living.

Perfect Getaway
We had a great stay at the Whimsical Hollow. The property manager went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of during a Mother’s Day snow storm. They contacted us and asked if we needed anything because they were coming by to drop off firewood and some extra sheets and towels. They had the driveway plowed as soon as it was possible. They also were understanding when we notified them of a minor problem at the property. The wildlife near the cabin was awesome. We will definitely be staying here again

Issues were minimal, but enough to disappoint. First, Christmas decorations still up including tree. Furniture layout in photos (open) way better than the way they had furniture when we got there (closed off). Way too cluttered with decorations. Carpet was as close to disgusting as possible. There was a definite “stink” to the place (and no spray to get rid of it — we had to go buy fabreeze). Also, no dishwasher?? Weird. And, the wifi was crap. No internet for half the stay. Frustrating. Now, with that, there were good things too. We loved the fireplace and plenty of wood to enjoy a fire every day/night. Views were awesome. Communication was spot on. They let us check in early.

Beautiful Place, Beware of AMS
Beautiful place. Well kept, cozy, well decorated. Some tips. It's very high. Like two Denvers high. 11200 ft. Acclimate yourself or you may get altitude sickness. If in winter, ensure you have groceries BEFORE you arrive, in case there's a storm. There is no food at the cabin and you are up mountain of town.

Great getaway
Such a nice time to get away and rest in front of a cozy fire. The cabin is well stocked and clean, tucked away in the pines. Definitely recommend. Note that this cabin is at very high elevation. Drink a lot of water in the days before going. Also, if you expect snow, 4WD with good tires is an absolute must. The road up is steep in a few places. If you arrive after dark there is plenty of firewood about 50' behind the cabin in a shelter. It is well stocked for wood but you may have to restock.

A Gem
Whimsical Hallow is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. Located approximately 30 miles east of Breckenridge, CO. The cabin was very tastefully decorated and separated by tall and mature pine trees from the neighbors. Very tranquil and peaceful place. Well worth staying at especially when trying to save money during prime ski season. Breathtaking views through the passes getting there and the same heading to Breckenridge, CO. This cabin does not disappoint. Two king sized beds and plenty of space and a beautiful rock fireplace. We will be booking this place again in the very near future.

Cute Little Cottage
We stayed here for 10 days and enjoyed Christmas at the cottage. It was a cute cottage. Absolutely loved the fireplace, made a fire almost every night. Loved that there was a propane heater so the water was always hot. My family did get altitude sick but not me. Something to be aware of. Drink lots of water before going and you can even pick up canisters of oxygen at stores nearby to help with that. It’s very remote but that’s what we were looking for. Careful of the roads, we found ourselves sliding a lot. It’s about three miles of dirt road once you turn off the main road.

Cozy Cabin
We loved staying here with our 4 yr old and 7 yr old daughters! It was the perfect size for a cozy Fall Break trip and we enjoyed playing cards and puzzles together in the living room, cooking meals in the kitchen, and walking around the front and back yard of the property. I even saw a mother moose and her baby while walking down Bobcat Ln! I didn't see any trails that we could hike in walking distance from the house, but we drove 5 minutes to Pika Trail which was perfect for our girls and took about an hr with little ones. We didn't miss having a dishwasher at all. It was very easy to wash up dishes in the sink. Wonderful trip overall!

Amazing stay!
This cabin has it all ! My family and I had a great stay! The cabin was very clean and the location is so peaceful! The communication with the staff was helpful if needing assistance before or during our stay. I loved the landscaping around the cabin as well! I will definitely look at booking in the future!😊
