My family and I were thrilled to have the pleasure of staying at Belvedere on the Potomac. We all agree that it more than well stocked, great views, very spacious, exceptionally clean, and is certainly one of the best VRBO's we have visited. It is tastefully decorated, quiet, easily accessed, great for relaxing. You can watch the nice size TV in the main living area with all of the streaming and live TV options or sit quietly by one of the fireplaces that are all a push of a button away. Peaceful when you want it to be with enough adventure space for a lovely walk or adventure.
Our favorite space for gathering was the kitchen, which was certainly put through its paces with demanding menus all week; we only needed to bring very specialized platters and pots, but it had everything you would need, including 2 ovens (one convection only, we believe), electric griddle to make those breakfast feasts, waffle maker to help with that too, and storage containers to use during your stay.
Our multi-generational group loved the space it afforded. My young nephews loved having their own attic loft with the futon beds and TV with just a DVD player - which was perfect, according to kids and parents alike. There is also an entire additional kitchen in the bonus room on the main floor - which has fabulous radiant heating and kept my grandmother comfortable. We loved that it is also dog friendly, since our furry girl is part of our family.
We would have liked to stay longer. Even though we had unseasonably warm weather between Christmas and the end of the year, we envision enjoying that veranda even more and would would love to come back and visit during the summer!
