We feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to experience this wonderful Villa, particularly it’s breathtakingly beautiful and private location on the Caribbean sea with un-interrupted 180 degrees south/south west facing views of Montserrat and gorgeous sunsets (practically a ‘green flash’ every night!). With COVID upending the world in so many ways, our family of four had a wonderful time relaxing together while still participating in virtual university classes and running our business (wifi is such a blessing!). The Villa has a nice open floor plan with 3 en-suite bedrooms and several French doors and shutters that opens up to a sizable wrap around deck which accommodates the plunge pool, BBQ, dining table and sun loungers, all in good working order. While at home we kept the doors and windows wide open filling the house with the sound of waves and the warm soothing breeze. In fact, looking out the large windows facing the sea with the waves rolling in it at times felt like being on a yacht. The kitchen is super well stocked with all the pots, pans and utensils one could ever need, a dishwasher, large fridge freezer and a brand new cooker. There’s also a washing machine in the Master bathroom. The Villa is five minutes drive from Falmouth Harbour with many good and/or fun restaurants. Some of our favorites include the Pillars, Boom, 5 Senses, Catherine’s, Cloggy’s and Le Brasserie.
On the topic of food, we recommend going to the Epicurean in Jolly Harbour (30 minutes drive) for the ‘big’ shop (they have lots of Waitrose products because of the many British expats that live in the area), then to top up as needed locally, either at Covent Garden or the supermarket across from Antigua Yacht Club in Falmouth. We bought most of our fresh produce from the street vendor by the gas station in Falmouth. A hire car is a ‘must’ in order to get to and from the Villa and because the roads are poor a Jeep is the way to go. Titi’s in Falmouth Harbour is as good and fair as it gets. In fact, Titi’s even delivered the Jeep to the Villa. As mentioned by previous guests, we’d like to recognize Nathan and Clare for their thoughtful and immediate attention. And a special call out to the Freestone’s for sharing their treasure with us. Such a very nice touch to have the fridge stocked with a few goodies and essentials on arrival, and to be met by Valentino at the airport including transfer to the Villa. Thank you! We highly recommend this Villa.
