Picture Perfect Family & Friends Vacation!
We had an amazing summer family and friends (framily) vacation in this beautiful oasis! We all had such a great time on the lake this week with our best friends and our babies and our two pups! Spent our days swimming, fishing, floating, and kayaking. Spent our nights hanging in the hot tub, playing pool, watching the Olympics, playing games and just spending time together in this little slice of paradise. Can’t wait to come back next August! Ed and Leatha are such thoughtful and considerate hosts. We had everything we could have needed, wanted, and more!

Consistently perfect
My family and I have stayed here a few times now and we are never disappointed. Ed and Leatha have an amazing attention to detail and are always available. The house is always clean and an it’s a great place to just focus on family and live some life on the lake.

3 Gen family get away
Comfortable setting with plenty of space to sprawl. All the amenities you could need are provided, the lake is pure pleasure and the garden s are beautiful. Our family loved every moment. Thanks to our hosts for a lovely experience.

Perfect stay!
We had a perfect weekend at this lakeside cottage! We were in town for our son's graduation from UNH, and needed a home that was large enough for grandparents and ourselves. This was a perfect place for us to relax, unwind, and enjoy some family time! The listing is accurate, and there was nothing extra that we could have wanted. We have stayed at many rental homes in the past, but this is the first time that I can honestly say that all we needed to bring were our clothes and food. There were plenty of towels (both bath towels and beach towels), and an entire closet of extra bedding. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you could have needed to cook, and we were surprised with a little snack basket and k-cups for the Keurig. Toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash were all provided as well. We were able to use the kayaks and paddleboat (plenty of life vests and water shoes were also available to us), and the hot tub, pool table, and karaoke machine kept us plenty busy while it was raining. The host was easy to communicate with both before an during our stay. Would highly recommend!

Great for a getaway
The house is beautiful and spotless. So many different sitting areas inside and out. The house has so many amenities that we didn’t feel like we were missing anything. The host was very responsive and accommodated our requests. Looking forward to our next girl’s weekend trip, that I have already rebooked.

Great weekend getaway
My family and I had a great weekend getaway at this property. It was very clean and they have thought of every little detail to add. House had everything we needed from beach towels to a crockpot. Was stocked with plenty of supplies such a toilet paper, shampoo, soaps and more. Great little getaway, definitely would return.

Absolutely beautiful house
My sister and I took our daughter's on a little getaway and this house had everything we needed. We all had our own space and traveling with 3 teens space is important. There's plenty of stuff to do at the house we didnt feel we had to go find something. The hosts were great to communicate with. Would stay here again and recommend to others.

New Year's Family Gathering
We try to get together twice per year now that the kids are grown and out on their own. Ed and Leatha are phenomenal hosts. This place has everything! My husband brought all the ingredients to make his famous family chili but forgot to bring the crock pot- no worries! There was not one but two crock pots! Seriously, all you need to bring is your loved ones and make your memories. We have some great ones from our stay here. Thank you Ed and Leatha :)

Wedding Week
We stayed at the lake house for my daughters wedding held nearby in Durham. Perfect place to accommodate us and try to keep us calm with views of the lake and little ducklings. Unfortunately we were too busy to enjoy all the home had to offer but we will be back!

Fantastic lakeside oasis
We stayed for a second time and everything was as great as the first. Plenty of space for our group to spread out and enough activities for all ages (we had 11-92). Ed ≤atha are super kind and responsive at any point. Looking forward to year #3. This has definitely turned into our family favorite spot.

We booked this beautiful home to stay 3 days so we could attend my daughters graduation from UNH. This home had everything we needed!!! Fabulous long weekend getaway
Even after reading all the 5-star reviews, this stay exceeded our expectations. The home itself was lovely, with so many amenities and all the details attended to, and the location was fantastic. We stayed for a long weekend Spring Break getaway, and enjoyed three days of kayaking, hot tubbing, karaoke-ing, playing pool and board games, and breathing in the peace of the location. The hosts were communicative and responsive, the house was beautiful and well kept, and we could not have enjoyed our time more. Thank you!

Spring Break family vacation
Found this house on VRBO that really seemed to fit our needs: 4bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, good location. When we arrived the place far exceeded our expectations. We loved it the minute we walked in. So clean and decorated so tastefully. It felt so comfortable and inviting. Just what we wanted after spending 4 days in NYC. We wanted a place to relax and we did. Especially loved the entertainment area. Pool table, Wii, Karaoke, hot tub were all enjoyed by the whole family. Leatha was very easy get a hold of with any questions. We had a hard time leaving and would love to come back when the weather is warmer and can enjoy the wonderful lake and outdoors.

Baxter Lake oasis
If you are looking for a relaxing getaway from the city, this is an ideal location. It has everything you could wish for: tremendous views of the lake, a private deck with bbq, fully equipped kitchen, tvs in every room, pool table and karaoke, endless amount of towels. The owners answer your questions in nano seconds if you ever have any. It is perfectly located 20 mins from the mountains and 30mins from the ocean. Would certainly come here again and recommend it as a top notch 5 star VRBO property (can we rate more than 5? Let’s give them 6*).

Great Long Weekend at the Lake House
The house and hosts were amazing. The house had tons to do for both adults(hot tub, firepit, etc.) and kids(Pool table, lots of board games, etc.). The hosts were extremely informative and responsive to all our questions. Was a great weekend!
