Fabulous Family Vacation
We have rented many vacation properties for our annual family vacation, but this property is absolutely the best of the best! It's so comfortable and accommodating for the adults, grandchildren and even our 4 month old grandson. We enjoyed the lake during the day and the firepit at night. There was every amenity you could ever need! 5 stars!

Guinevere was perfect!
This our second year at Cape Guinevere, and once again we had a wonderful stay. The house is cozy and well equipped, and really just perfect for our family to gather for meals, walks around Lancelot Shores, and of course for fires around the fire pit. It is close to Rochester and stores but we felt like we had our own private getaway in the woods. We’d go back again in a heartbeat!

We loved our stay at Cape Guinevere! The house is clean, comfortable and well stocked. The beaches are nice and close. We are grateful we got to bring our dogs with us on vacation. We had lots of fun swimming with them at the dog beach. Owners are great!

Perfect New England Vacation
We spent a week in this lovely, immaculate and comfortable home. Our family rages in age from 7 to 68 years old, and every one of us enjoyed this vacation. The location was perfect. There are a couple small beaches that we could walk to but we were close enough to drive to Ogunquit Maine to spend a day at the ocean beach. We even spent a day at Lake Winnipesaukee and enjoyed that beautiful area. When we were just relaxing at home, there were plenty of board games to play, and we even enjoyed sitting around the fire pit a couple evenings. We had such a wonderful time. The homeowner was so quick to answer our questions and was very accommodating. Our family agrees that this is a rental home that we all want to return to!

The coziest birthday getaway
Came to stay for my birthday weekend with a few friends to be cozy by the fireside and play board games. It ended up being -2 Fahrenheit for most of the time we were there, but we were snug and happy at Cape Guinevere! Everything was spotless, and the bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in at any VRBO/BnB. The owner is so friendly and easy to communicate with. Really a wonderful experience. We hope to return for future cozy getaways!

We visited in the winter so we didn't really take advantage of the lake but the house itself was a perfect spot for us. The open floor plan made the whole family very comfortable. The hosts responded quickly any time we had questions and were very friendly.

Beautiful home and location
My husband and I spent a short break for two nights. Jason is a fantastic host with a wonderful home and beautiful location overlooking the lake. The home is spotless and full of everything you could possibly need. The neighbors are friendly and there are some lovely trails a short drive away as well as apple picking. The sunrise over the lake is sublime. It was quiet and peaceful and such a wonderful break from the busy city. We brought our big Malamute with us and Jason even provided a dog bed. We live in the city and it was only a 90-minute drive to this beautiful home with such beautiful autumn colors everywhere and fresh air. We will come again!

Cozy and Perfect
Met for a family gathering at this lovely property, which turned out to be the perfect cozy spot for us. Close to stores but still a quiet getaway at the lake. The house was well appointed and we especially appreciated some of the really nice kitchen supplies for the family cooks. Jason provided very detailed instructions and we had no problems with arrival or departure. The house is tastefully decorated, clean and all is in working order. We enjoyed sitting around the massive dining table and the beautiful fire pit. I would definitely book this property again. I wish I were there right now!

Awesome Family Vacation!
What a fabulous vacation home! We have rented many different lake vacation homes all over the state, for many years, and have never stayed in such an amazing place. I especially love the fact that all 6 adults plus grandchildren all had their own bedrooms plus plenty of bathrooms. The home is immaculate with all of the amenities you would ever need. We so enjoyed swimming and paddle boarding every day and enjoyed the great fire pit every night. Thank you for your hospitality! We'll be back next year!

Perfect for family getaway
Owners were very responsive. Very roomy home with everything needed to feed and seat 7 adults. We appreciated the beach right down the street. Fire pit was used almost every night. Great place to relax at the end of a long day of sight-seeing or hiking. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend this property. It was impeccably kept and clean. Well equipped with anything you would need. Although it is not lakefront, you can easily see the lake from the property There was always parking available if you choose to drive to the little beach area. Plenty of games, linens, towels, blankets, pillows. Nice, quiet area to vacation. Hope to be able to come back.

Baxter Lake Cabin
There were six of us that stayed at the property, 2 couples, and 2 single adults, so we used the whole space :). We would certainly go back. Highlights, we gave the property all 5 stars, the property was clean and well maintained. Everyone was comfortable in the bedrooms. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to use the outside space, but the firepit and outside is really nice. The kitchen was well provisioned. The large dining room table is a great place to gather. My only quibble was with the driveway, it's dirt and gravel and a little slippery in the rain. But there is parking out front.
