Upon arrival to our Vrbo, we discovered the unit had not been cleaned even though we arrived AFTER our posted check in time. I immediately called Cohova rentals and the first thing I was asked was if I wanted it to be cleaned. After our party of 5 adults waited in limbo for about 45 minutes, we were told someone would come clean it. We hauled all of our stuff back out so housekeeping could come in. We then left to try to find something to do but in reality we were all looking to come in and RELAX. A bit after 9:20 pm, almost 7 hours after posted checkin time, we were notified that the unit was ready. Since our initial check in issue, dealing with Cohova has been a nightmare. From offering us a gift card to a restaurant to ignoring my calls, texts and pleas for help to find a solution, their customer service couldn’t act anymore unconcerned if they tried. Vrbo has been notified and the issue has been escalated. Depending on how much help I receive from them, I will probably be contacting my credit card company tomorrow.
A big part of my weekend was consumed with trying to find a resolution. I have an email from them stating they will charge for every hour we are there past checkin. Doesn’t it seem fair that the same should apply to every hour that we could not check in? Obviously not to Cohova properties. They offered me 20% back on my 2 night stay and said we could stay 2 hours later for checkout.
Don’t stay or book anything with Cohova properties!
