Received a text message from Justin, the property manager 2 days before the booking to cancel the booking stating they had not opened for the season and erroneously listed availability on Vrbo. 12 hours later, received a email from the property that the booking is confirmed. Reached the property to find no washrooms as per the listing. The owner runs a lodge too and request to access one available. The request was rudely refused. Next morning, i dropped by the lodge to speak to Justin and I was asked to vacate the property as "I had not paid for the lodge" in front of other guest. Justin showed no empathy, wasn't apologetic about the emails confirming my stay, and blamed me for not checking my text (low connectivity area).
