We enjoyed the cabin. It was great for our family of four plus my dad. We had easy access to the train station in Glasgow where we were able to visit some Highland Games. It was also close enough to Edinburgh that we spent two days there and in surrounding areas. The only down side was the lack of WiFi. If you’re from Scotland and are just looking for a getaway, this won’t be a big deal. However, we were trying to plan our time here, and not having working WiFi made it very difficult since our international data had run out, and we were only left with low speed connection from our phone service. The listing says there is WiFi, but we got kicked off as soon as we got connected (IF we could get connected.) You’ll also need to bring or buy whatever you’re going to need while there. We purchased paper towels and laundry soap, and there was only one hand soap for the three sinks, so we had to go to it when we were done in a different bathroom. Those were the only down sides though, and they were certainly manageable.
We would definitely stay here again. The view was beautiful! The sheep nearby were so neat. I suppose if you’re from Scotland, you’re used to seeing sheep everywhere. We don’t really have them in the states though. We see deer and coyotes mainly. The kids also loved the hot tub. They’ve been wanting to swim since we got to Europe, but it’s been too cold, and we haven’t had a place with a pool. This was the perfect compromise.
100% would stay again!
