"This place was awesome! We enjoyed every day especially star gazing on cold winter’s night while sipping on some red wine or whiskey to stay warm while star gazing. "This house is a grand old lady, comfortable with a few quirks befitting her age. The downstairs is spacious and we were able to fit 17 around the dinner tables available. Kitchen was well outfitted. There is a very steep staircase however, which some might find intimidating. Also, due to the age and draftiness of the house, the heating system was barely able to keep up with the 28-30 degree temps outside. Probably more comfortable in the non-winter months. Would stay again. "

"The ranch is beautiful!! Douglas and his wife were so welcoming and wanted to ensure our 6 year old had as wonderful of a time as we did. The cottage was clean and had ample supplies for cooking our meals. We felt very safe and it was so quiet and peaceful. Our son enjoyed the pool and feeding the animals. "We loved our short stay at this rental. The lack of wifi and limited service meant that we put down our phones and spent some real quality time together. We read books and mountain-gazed from the back porch. The house is definitely quirky, but not in a way that is unexpected for the area and we appreciated all of it’s unique details. We were in town for a wedding and this home was the perfect respite from the social overstimulation of a large celebration."

"We have stayed in many VRBOS, and this may have been the cleanest. Spotless! Great open floor plan, fun for families. "Although the owner was good with communication this property is VERY OLD. They did have a fire going when we got there but it really only heats up the area its in. The rest of the house is very cold, and only a couple electric heaters that do not keep up. The beds slept good and the bedding was clean, but the rest of the house (floors, shelves, ect..) where very dirty."

"This little house was perfect for our long weekend in Etna California. Very close to town but cozy and quiet. In the morning deer would be eating grass in the backyard. "My second stay here. Overall very comfortable and clean. The shower is great. Suggest to stay on second floor. Walls and ceiling transfers sound like crazy. If on first floor those walling above you sound like they are in your room. Couple of things to improve is change the daylight color temp of your led bulbs to incandescent (3200k). The blue daylight color makes to rooms feel cold. Suggest doing a deep clean on the shower head for scale to keep nozzles clear on a monthly basis. "
