Fishing weekend.
This was by far the worst rental I’ve ever stayed in. There were cameras in every virtually every window several of which were pointed toward the interior making us feel very uncomfortable. There were no linens on any of the beds. When we finally found them, they didn’t smell or appear to be clean. The house had no wifi and no dining table. The only dishes we could find were two small cups. Overall an absolutely horrible place to stay.

No don’t get scammed
Upon arrival eviction notice on door from sheriffs department. We also did not have the correct code to even enter the house upon arrival. We had to make alternate arrangements to stay that evening. Upon following up with local police they informed us this is a scam and owner is wanted by authorities due to several other individuals already going through same issue with this property and owner. We never stayed there and police department has contacted VRBO. This house needs to be removed immediately from their site.

Stay away!!!
Not clean! Carpets filthy, spiders, bird crap all over the porch, no curtains on bedroom windows, toilet seat stained, no hand towels, full size towels old, no dish towels …beds looked slept in not clean…we chose to get a hotel but used the house just for our event that was planned outside. Walls and door’s filthy…totally nasty house.

DO NOT BOOK-NOT AS LISTED. NON-REFUNDABLE
I booked this house many months ago, before there were any reviews of the home. It was convenient to our family that we were visiting in Freeburg Il. It was listed as a 4 Bedroom Home, sleeping 8. -the bedrooms had NO shades -only 2 bedrooms had sleepable beds (foam topper thrown on floor and a bedframe with missing slats) were in 2 of the bedrooms, so no one could sleep in those rooms. -sheets on one of the beds were dirty and towels needed to be washed. -House was dirty with one of the bedrooms having "something splashed on them" -the house had VERY sparse furniture, only 4 chairs at the eating bar, NO dining area for the other 4 if there were 8 staying. -there was a sectional couch that when was brought from another room, made it big enough for us all to be in one room, but that was it for furniture. -there were crumbs in the cupboards and therefore ants were found. -No internet was found, but since the house was in such disheaval, not much time was spent at the home. -we had hoped that 6 people could have stayed at this home with a dog, but only had 4 stay. I had to pay an additional 100.00 to get in early as my childrens airline got in in earlier....what a RIP OFF...to see the mess this home has been left in. The area and subdivision is beautiful, and very safe area, but this VRBO needs to be managed, and I will see how a NON Refundable VRBO can be removed from VRBO when they are not as listed, and are definitely taking advantage of the consumer.

Utter Disappointment
I booked this home because it seemed perfect. It allowed dogs. It was close to Scott Air Force Base. It had enough space to host a family breakfast the day after my brother in law's Naval retirement party. When we finally got the key details, after traveling 16 hours from Fl, we entered an extremely unsanitary home. The kitchen counter had rice on it. The stove and oven looked like someone cooked on both without pans, the tub and shower were too dirty to use before cleaning. The master bed had evidence of sexual leftovers. The carpets weren't vacuumed. Also trash day was Wednesday- the same day we arrived, yet two full cans were sitting against the garages. We really had no options but to purchase cleaning supplies, mattress covers, and a coffee maker- because there wasnt one, and make it work. When brought to the owner's attention and photos shared, her response lacked experience in hospitality. I shared photos of the sex-stained sheets and her response was " we dont have white sheets" as if I provided them? They were grey, they were messily fixed to the mattress without mattress covers. My husband spent the majority of the day on Thursday cleaning- on our vacation. I politely requested that we be refunded cleaning fees, or discounted 1 day's stay. Her response was to offer me dicounted future stays. I took photos and am HAPPY to share. Im disappointed and would NEVER rent a place in that condition.

Frustrated
The house is not as clean as the pictures posted. Stains on the walls, the carpet on the stairs and upper level of the house is stained and very dirty. The air vents are rusted and gross, Issues with the internet multiple times, the gas was turned off at the property. The owner refused to pay the bill, so we were without heat when temps were in the 50s for the rest of our stay. The owner is being sued for operating a VRBO by the neighborhood HOA. We received an eviction notice that was court ordered due to the lawsuit. We had to move out of our house due to renovations, places are very limited in this area other wise would have gone elsewhere. VRBO is awful! I will never use them again to rent anything!
