"The caravan was very clean on arrival. The host had left cleaning products for us. The beds were made and also extra bedding. Clean towels were available. The host called before we arrived to let us know she had left ice lollies for the children and some crisps. There was also things like ready meals, tea, coffee, sugar and sauces. Also a bbq to use. "

"A lovely homely cottage, comfortable and well equipped, with a rather special riverside location offering views and privacy. Our first time to this area so enjoyed some river walks and hearing interesting history of Rowhedge gleaned from the very friendly locals. We only had a short stay but got a lot in , including a trip to Wivenhoe on the riverside opposite. Will definitely rebook next time we are 'out East' ."

"The cottage was lovely and had it's own parking space which was handy. It was a bit chilly when we got there but we just upped the thermostat and it was very warm within about 10 minutes. Great location in easy walking distance to Aldi and an M&S food and restaurants. The owner left some basic food including some UHT milk. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is the shower - which seemed to go from boiling hot to freezing cold and back again, so I had a bath instead!"

"The property was clean, but the quality of bedding and kitchen stuff was just too basic. Absolutely shapeless and thin pillows, all same everywhere, so nothing to choose from. Utensils and plates are fresh from Tesco basic range still with stickers. Pans with anti stick bottoms scratched, which may be a health issue. I know it’s a caravan, and not much aspiration to be expected, but it might be just a tad bit better than a factory canteen."

"Lovely cottage, super clean and everything you could imagine was provided. Kitchen was well equipped, and so was the bathroom with toiletries provided. Great that breakfast was provided too. "Was a bit worried after so many varied reviews. The hotel reception is not very warming or welcoming but the receptionists were amazing. We were given a free upgrade after she noticed our room was next to the party room. This was most welcomed. The room was lovely - however it wasn’t serviced and the shower gel dispenser was broken. Another receptionist gave us information for local taxis. Very long wait for food on the Friday evening due to there being 2 parties. We waited over an hour...
