Our stay was great! Communication with the host was great! Perfect house for 4 people.We had 6 for 2 of the nights. It’s tough not having a bathroom downstairs, but we made it work, Love this house! Would definitely stay again.

Family time

Fun times. Everything was clean and accessible. Not so much if ur disabled with restroom upstairs. But would recommend , and have. Wish fish were bitting more in the canal. But was less than 20 minutes to the pier so we could fish there.

Wont go back

First thing once we showed up to the house we noticed the trash cans were overflowing and smelled like dead fish. We retrieved the key and opened everything up down stairs room smelled like a dog slept and used the restroom in it for awhile it was atrocious, also there was a roach squashed in between the door jam witch i attached the picture below. We also noticed the guest room closet you can't access. They also had the audacity to come mow the lawn while we were there. My kids and myself left with very bad allergies from the place, so all and all ill never go back and I'd truly like to be compensated.

Quiet with super fishing

The neighborhood is very quiet. This is our favorite vrbo rental in the Galveston area. It is just the right size for us. Everything is as listed. We like being able to fish from the boat dock as well as bringing our own boat. Always a very relaxing stay.

Ruhiges Idyll am Kanal

Ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt!Das Haus entspricht haargenau der Beschreibung auf der Website.Alles ist vorhanden, teilweise auch im Überfluss, aber das Beeindruckendste ist diese Stille, wenn man von der Terrasse aufs Wasser blickt und den Sonnenuntergabg geniesst.Lee, der Landlord, ist bestens erreichbar und äusserst hilfsbereit - auch ihm 5 Sterne!

Perfect for us!

I liked everything about the place. We did not use the first floor room because the 8-year-old was too young to stay down there by herself, so no review on that part. Everyone enjoyed the setup!

RE-VISIT

The fourth time to stay at this house but this time with a toddler. The deck is amazing! The stairwell has a gate and the decks is baby proof. He loved being able to crawl all around. Will be renting here again.

Fabulous

Our family has stayed at several VRBO locations over the years, but have never stayed where the owners provided as many options for cooking as well as towels, etc. We spent most of our time downstairs fishing and enjoying the fire pit while being able to watch the Astros on the TV. Having an extra refrigerator downstairs made it so convenient. We cooked all our meals for four days so we needed the extra space. We are looking forward to our next trip here.

Quiet location for a getaway from the business of the city

Overall our stay was good. In hind sight with 2 kids I wish I had stayed closer to town as they didn’t want as much downtime as I expected so we wound up driving into town daily. This house is in a great more quiet location for those wanting that but it did take 20 minutes minimum to get to anything in town. The downstairs bedroom we found unuseable. It smelled horribly of what we guessed was dogs or cat. I have dogs at home but could not tolerate the smell so my oldest kid who was going to sleep there chose to sleep on the couch for the 5 nights. We successfully enjoyed fishing off the dock and loved being right on the water. The bait shop nearby was great since the owner specifically notes not to use either fridge or freezer to store bait.The trash had not gone out from the previous stay and never got picked up while we were there so it became very smelly in the driveway near the trash cans as the week went on. I didn’t see anything posted or in the check in or check out instructions regarding putting out the trash so I’m not sure who is responsible for that but likely fell through somewhere. We could not get the outdoor soundbar to work with the tv as well. Overall nice small house for a quiet vacation. I’d recommend not counting on the 3rd bedroom though.

West End Paradise !

Most West Wend Galveston homes are set on pilings. Once you’re used to the stairs, the residence is a dream ! Fishing off the dock or the Sea Isle’s private pier is great ! Much to see and do, 20 minute drive to Walmart and other shopping and dining options. All household necessities were on hand and plentiful. Owner was very responsive to any neds.

Lovely, quiet spot to relax

This property is very clean and nicely appointed with everything you need. Fishing is great on the canal. Birding is great on the island. Having the boat lift is very handy. We always try to stay here.
