Update needed
First of all...3rd bedroom is downstairs in a cubby hole with no bathroom! You are climbing stairs in the middle of the night if you need to potty! The porch has nails sticking up. Part of the rails are hanging. Beds are super hard!

Great Location
Overall we were really pleased about this stay. The location is great and the house had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the layout of the house was nice for a family. The only downside was that the vacuum didnt work to cleannup sand and some of the light switches didnt seem to work properly.

Galveston get away
Love the location of the house and the convenience of the beach. The owner was very responsive and the rates were great. We had 8 adults and one toddler. The house has plenty of beds but the top bunks are not sturdy enough for adults. Overall it was a great experience but there are some basic maintenance items that could be addressed: Disposal smells of dead fish as soon as you turn the water on. The lights flicker in the secondary bathroom when water is running. The ice maker leaks into the refrigerator and creates standing water on the food. Linens and pillows need to be replaced due to use The bathrooms need to be cleaned better

Excellent, I recommend it.
Communication from the time we rented through the app until the last day was excellent, very friendly and helpful, the property was very clean and comfortable. Things that are beyond the structural that made us love it, which is that we could walk to the beach, have coffee in the morning on the porch, the view is beautiful, definitely pet friendly, they were able to run around downstairs while we spent time with the family, these are things that we value a lot, we will definitely be back next summer😊

Was ok but should be listed as a two bedroom. Third bedroom is downstairs and has no bathroom. Flimsy bunk bed. Smells moldy down there. Upstairs was good. Shower handles need Fixen.

Great bday vacation
Our family and friends of my daughter spend the weekend to celebrate her bday. Everyone had fun! The place is clean. And the AC is really cool especially during this warm weather that is what we need most.

Dated and lots of mosquitos
This property is in a convenient location because it’s a short ride across the street to the beach and the corner store has most things and there’s usually a food truck there. The rooms were large and the beds were big and there’s plenty of them. The couch was big too. However, everything is really dated. The bathrooms are tiny and the showers are difficult to operate because the knobs and hardware desperately need to be updated. It’s difficult to adjust the water temperature. We also have small children and they didn’t have a bath stopper to fill the tub so we had to use a washcloth to try to keep the water from draining for a bath. There are swarms of mosquitos - not even an exaggeration and we had to literally bring a small towel and swat around like crazy people and run and rush just to get into the car and still about a half dozen mosquitos would get into the car with us and we would have to kill all of them before we could pull out of the driveway. It’s the worst mosquito encounter I’ve ever had anywhere in Galveston or anywhere ever. When we would pull into the driveway, before we got out of the car you could see them all flying at the windows. We nicknamed this house the mosquito house. The light switches in the living room are a little frustrating because you can’t have the fan on without also having the lights on. And that was annoying at night. There’s also not a water dispenser so we bought bottled. It was generally “fine” but we would not stay here again.

4 generations getaway
The house was clean, hot water was hot and the A/C was cold! The house needs a few things fixed up, but nothing that you can’t work around, (tub faucet, exterior lighting, railings loose, blinds) and if you have toddlers, there is no where for them to eat, no table and bar stools don’t work! (Ages from 74 - 1) The house listed that they had beach chairs which we didn’t find, but we made do! Hopefully they will work on the upkeep of the house!

Guest bath sink doesn’t drain well, master bath shower faucet hot and cold needs to be reversed, and kitchen faucet need to be replaced, and 3rd bedroom needs clarification on the location in the home. Very humid in bedroom and lots of bugs. Great home otherwise. Thank you so much.

Summer Vacation
My husband, daughters, and I couldn’t have had a more enjoyable time! The living area and kitchen are spacious and well equipped for relaxing after a day at the beach. Had lots of fresh towels and the washer and dryer were handy. Beautiful outdoor area to sit and enjoy the mornings and evenings. Will definitely stay here again!

Jamica Beach Stay
Overall the property was fine. The owners were great to work with and very responsive. The beds were good to sleep in, but one room was on the ground level and they are twin bunk beds. The fenced yard was nice too. The place has a nice family-TV area to entertain in and includes TV and other streaming hookups. The location was close to the beach and quiet. A couple of things to consider: The property was older than what you see online. It needed a deep clean. There was a cost to use the community pool. The deck needs some work (nails were sticking up on the floor boards and you need shoes to walk around.). The kitchen sink needs repair. Overall a fair price for the amenities and location. We enjoyed our time.
