First Trip to Exuma
We picked the perfect place for our first family trip to Exuma. The location, accommodations, and hosts could not have been more perfect for us! Lydia and Eric met us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the property, made sure we had everything we needed, and were available to answer questions/offer recommendations throughout the week. The upstairs railing made us a little nervous with our two year old, and Eric quickly eased our minds by screwing in lattice fencing along the entire porch. He also took time out of his day to drive my husband to pick up our rental car. Additional perks to this property were the paddle boards, kayaks, beach toys, pack and play, life jackets, washer and dryer, coolers, etc. that were provided. Lydia and Eric were more than accommodating when our flight was delayed for several hours on the day we were scheduled to leave. We look forward to the day we get to return to Exuma and will definitely book this property again!

Lidia and Eric were great hosts. Any help we needed they were there for us (they even did a grocery run for us before we arrived) but they gave us our space. The condo was great with everything we needed. And the setting was even better. Secluded beach with hardly anyone around and the view was incredible. We got to swim with turtles right outside our door. We are ready to go back. I highly recommend this rental!

Better than the pictures!!
We loved our stay at Driftwood Condos. Lida and Eric are fabulous hostess and host and really made sure we were welcome and knew everything we needed to. And were very available whenever we wanted to know anything. The condo is very well outfitted and has everything you would want/need. And if you do need something, Lidia and Eric will make sure you get it. The view from the condo is spectacular and the beach is serously the best beach on the island. Hoopers Bay rocks. We did go do a lot of things on the island-and boat tours-and while we enjoyed all of that-we ended up thinking we were in the best place on the island and ended up hanging out there more than we thought we would. It's just that nice. Also-they have kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel gear, and a lot of other water toys so that is a giant plus. And we enjoyed using them. We want to come back here again. You will be very happy staying at Driftwood and having Lida and Eric as your host/ess.

Best Place to Stay on the Island!
Lidia and Eric are amazing hosts. They communicated with us before our trip and were there to greet us upon arrival. Our place was clean and had everything we needed! The beach was steps away and you have a private area with chairs, kayaks, and paddles boards. The views are truly amazing. Best place to stay on the island and the best hosts!

Aug 2022 - Hooper's Bay Driftwood Condos 2nd floor
We had an amazing holiday at the beautfiul and tranquil Driftwood Condos (2nd floor)! From booking to check-out, everything was handled in top notch fashion. A million thanks to the most gracious hosts ever. Eric and Lidia are good people who seem to truly find joy in sharing their corner of paradise. They had starter groceries waiting when we arrived and Eric even took us snorkeling to a spot we never would have known about otherwise. They made our stay extra memorable. The condo itself is exactly as pictured/described and very clean and well-stocked. It is bright, cheery, and features colorful local artwork. We chilled on the large balcony a bit, watching shooting stars at night and spying for turtles in the mornings, or just staring in disbelief at that gorgeous view. The water is really that blue and also very clear, plus the surf is gentle. In fact, after visiting several beaches around, we still would vote for Hooper's Bay as our number one favorite. The hammocks and loungers in the private palm-shaded beach area above the high water line are a huge bonus, and we also really appreciated the kayaks, noodles, and beach toys. We used the solar shower & extra rinse area at the top of the main steps daily to knock off the sand and clean our snorkeling gear. The grounds are full of vibrantly-blooming tropical vegetation, with hummingbirds and butterflies buzzing about. The building sets up high, with the stone steps cascading down to the ocean, which gives it a bit of a Mediterranean vibe. The location is very convenient. There is even a little plaza offering provisions within walking distance. However, if like us, you rent a vehicle, you will find that you are central to everything. Even though we got out and did all the main check-list things and explored, the best part was simply hanging out at this special property . All in all, it was the perfect blend of rest and recreation. We definitely hope to return!

Best vacation EVER!
Every year we take a family vacation, and this vacation tops all of them! Lidia and Eric had great communication from last year to the weeks leading up. Always replied to my questions quickly, even when I asked questions 9 months in advance. They provide water to drink through a reverse osmosis private water cooler in your condo and refill it as much as you need. It tasted great and we could not tell the difference between that and bottled. We all stayed healthy and hydrated the entire week with no issues. We also ate at Splash a couple times and a little bakery in Georgetown, no issues. They also have all the little things that don’t “fly” well! From beach umbrellas, to coolers to pack with you if you are spending day at one of the other beaches on the island. However maybe my favorite beach of all was the one we had right outside our door at Hoopers bay. They provide laundry soap, dish soap and all amenities with staying in a condo. If you have a particular need, email Lidia, they may have it already in the condo. The condo was clean and well maintained. The outdoor space will be where you spend most of your time and the adirondack chairs are so comfortable on your private balcony. We were in Exuma for the first time and we love to explore the areas we visit. Eric gave us lots of great tips and suggestions. If you are wanting to do excursions and rent a boat at Minn’s make reservations well in advance. We were in Exuma in July/August and they were totally booked at Minn’s and had been for a few weeks. We also did the full day excursion with 4Cs and “Smiley” was great. This condo location is the absolute best on the island and we know because we drove all over. It is right in the middle.Hooper’s Bay is quiet, the water is more calm than Tropic of Cancer (south end) and Coco Plum (north end) but go to both of these beaches if you come to Exuma. The pure beauty of Tropic of Cancer Beach and the sand dollar hunting at Coco Plum is well worth the trip to them. There is a beach access by the condo but not to worry, it is not busy and everyone goes on down to feed the turtles on the other side of the first dock to the right. You won’t even notice them. We used one of the kayaks and had fun exploring Hoopers bay for a bit too. The water is so incredibly beautiful here, after you pick your jaw up off the floor you will really enjoy it. When we come back this will be where we stay for sure. Eric and Lidia are the absolute best hosts!!!

Very thankful we made the choice to stay here.
Reasons to stay here: 1) Property is clean and very well equipped. They even have rafts, snorkel gear, beach towels. 2) The property is centrality located on the island. It’s close to the airport, groceries, liquor, Georgetown, restaurants, Minn’s. It’s in. I e area too. 3) Hooper’s Bay ended up being our favorite beach, with the neighboring Jolly Hall as our second. It was calm, no seaweed, soft sand, beautiful colors. We found the best shells there. 4) Beds were very comfortable. 5) They have the best beach location on Jolly Hall. With the shade and beautiful palms. 6) Eric and Lidia were very friendly and helpful. It was wonderful to have them in close proximity to the property to ask questions.

Wonderful Stay!
Just spent 8 wonderful days at the Driftwood Condos. The view of Hoopers Bay is breathtaking and I believe this is the best beach on Exuma. Lidia and Eric were amazing hosts and provided great communication before and during our stay. The condo was extremely clean and the kitchen was better stocked than any other place we have stayed. The private beach area and all the beach toys were great. We also appreciated that drinking water was provided. Could not have asked for a better experience!

Best Place to Stay!
We couldn't have been happier with Driftwood Condos. We feel so fortunate to have found this gem. Overlooking gorgeous Hooper's Bay, it has the most amazing views. The location is ideal: On a stunning beach with turtles swimming nearby, a sunset off to the west, close enough to town to get groceries and go out for a meal, and centrally located so we could easily tour around the island. The condo was great - very clean, very bright and cheery, stocked with everything we needed. A great balcony and lots of windows to enjoy the amazing views. We also loved that the place was stocked with kayaks, floaties and even a paddleboard, which we really enjoyed. The whole family enjoyed having these things. Lidia and Eric, the owners, were wonderful. So friendly and helpful. Always available to answer any questions and to help us get oriented to the island, even showed us a fantastic snorkeling spot that we would never have found on our own. Eric so kindly found and cut up coconuts for us, that was such a fun experience to try. If you are coming to Exuma, I highly recommend Driftwood Condos!

AMAZING condo on Hooper’s Bay!
Our stay at the Driftwood Condos was amazing! I can’t say enough great things about the location and view. I’ve stayed in Exuma 6 times now and we always use VRBO. This was one of my favorite properties yet! Something this property had that several others didn’t, is an awesome shaded gathering area down on the beach. It allows you to get some shade but still be right on the ocean. The beach in from of the condos is my favorite. Aside from the property highlights, the owners are so helpful and easy to work with! They were always there for us, whatever we needed. We can’t wait to stay again!

Driftwood Condos
What can I say.....so much......this place was fantastic in so many ways. We swam with wild turtles from the beach where we stayed, we were a few steps from the beautiful beach, the day boat trip to Pig Island and other islands was one of the best experiences of my life, Lidia and Eric, who owned our condo and lived next door are our new friends, the setting was 10 minutes from Georgetown and a 5 mins walk to a shop, we were very central where we were based and overall it couldn't have been better! Lidia and Eric looked after us so well and were on hand if we needed them but not intrusive in any way. Wonderful holiday!

Perfect stay on Hooper's Bay
Wonderful condo on gorgeous beach. The place was comfortable, very clean, and well-stocked with everything we needed to cook at home and enjoy our time on the bay. Kayaks were there for our use, beach towels, bug spray, unlimited drinking water, washer and dryer, and good air conditioner. The beds were very comfortable, with good linens and extra blankets. The view from the condo is expansive and amazing. Lidia and Eric went way beyond what is expected of hosts. They have a large comfortable room with deck for you to enjoy before and after check in/out in case your flight is early or late, complete with beach towels, shower, bathroom. In addition, Eric drove my friend and I to see a snorkeling/swimming spot that only locals know about. I will definitely stay at the Driftwood Condos on my next trip to Exuma.

Best location on Hoopers Bay Exuma
Fantastic experience staying at Driftwood. Well equipped appartement, immaculately clean. On property sport équipements well maintained and available including kayaks, paddle boards, fin and snorkel, etc. Hobby cat rigged up by owner Eric and if you are not a sailor he will take you for a sale.Best hosts Linda and Eric live next door and are always ready to help and assist with information. They share on property grown fresh fruit (Papaya, coconut, passion fruit) when in season and have ample herbs growing around the property to include in your cooking if that is your thing. Perfect location, very clean, comfortable
My family of 4 stayed at the Driftwood 2nd floor condo. We could not have asked for a better location or hosts. The condo had everything you could possibly need and more. The view from anywhere on the property is breathtaking. The water is calm, and the most spectacular blue/turquoise color. We loved the location because it felt secluded and special while also being close to town for groceries, restaurants, boat rental etc. We also loved that it seemed to be in the middle of the island. We could go for a sunrise beach walk, then visit several other beaches on either end of the island in a morning and be back to enjoy Hooper’s Bay in the afternoon/evening. The owners Lidia and Eric are the sweetest ❤️ They live right next door and seem to always be available for a friendly chat or helpful information. Lidia was so sweet to let my children look through a huge bowl of shells and a book telling all about the different shells we would find. We had the best time and can’t wait to return to the Driftwood condos to enjoy the beautiful water and our new friends Lidia and Eric.

FANTASTIC!!!
I can't say enough how awesome of a time my husband, daughter and I had at Driftwood!! Eric and Lidia were by far the best hosts we've had on our vacations. They live next door and greeted us with a big smile and hello, and were very helpful with tips regarding everything from grocery stores to restaurants to beaches and out of the ways secret spots. Eric even took us snorkleing to a nearby reef that only locals know, and they both took us to a secluded beach that had special spa-like clay. They will interact with you as much or as little as you'd like. Lidia was so kind and gave my daughter a birthday gift when she found out her birthday was that week. The condo had everything we needed and was extremely clean and tidy. The view of the bay from our second floor balcony was breathtakingly beautiful, and most days we had a very nice sea breeze. The beach amenities were perfect - super comfy adirondack chairs, beach loungers and hammocks. After visiting many beaches on the islands, we think Hoopers bay is actually the best beach. They provided us an excellent and well thought out guide that they put together shortly after booking that included just about everything you'd want to know in advance including items provided, what to bring, directions, car rental, restaurant, activity guides, etc. The island was sooo beautiful, and the water color is as pretty, if not prettier than what you see in pictures. We had the best time and would definitely recommend Driftwood to anyone considering visiting Exuma!!!

The Trip of a Lifetime!
My girlfriend and I stayed at Lidia and Eric’s Driftwood Condos and could not have asked for a better experience! This was our first time visiting Exuma, so we couldn’t wait to check out this incredible destination. Lidia and Eric met us when we arrived and told us about the condo, a few things to do off the beaten trail, including grocery stores and all the places to visit during our time there. All the amenities at the condo were great and everything was perfectly clean. We enjoyed laying on the hammoc on the private beach and loved that we had access to their kayaks. Once the wind settled down, we paddled over to Stocking Island arriving at starfish beach and even made it all the way to the Chat and Chill - it’s a bit of a workout but well worth it if you want to be a little adventurous. We were sad to go but can’t wait to come visit again, we will definitely be staying at the driftwood condos next time!

Amazing Property
Best place to stay in Exuma!!! Amazing views of the crystal blue water of Hoopers Bay! The condo is very clean with everything you need for a stress free vacation! Washer dryer on-site so no need to over pack. Water cooler with drinking water is supplied which is a HUGE plus!! Short walk to Prime island meats for groceries. Fresh and frozen meats are available for a reasonable price but all other food is about twice the price of US. We packed a full size suitcase of cereals, snacks and dry goods then just bought meat and perishables. Hoopers Bay is the most beautiful beach in Exuma and this condo is situated steps away from the water. The view from the condo is amazing! This beach is the location to feed the sea turtles which is a 5 min walk down the beach from the condo. AC works great but we opened the larger sliding glass doors and windows and let the breeze blow right through. The condo is only a few mins from the airport so it’s best to rent a small car to get around and to explore the island from Exuma point to Santana’s, about 30 mins to each end of the island. Eric and Lidia are amazing hosts and are very helpful with information about places to go and things to do. Hope to visit and stay here again very soon!!

Our stay was just spectacular. The owners could not be a more kind and welcoming couple, they made us feel so at home from our first moments on the property. And the apartment has one of the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen, we would just sit on the deck or the hammock, looking out, with “can you believe were here?” Looks on our faces for the entire week. Beyond that, everything is very thoughtfully supplied with exactly what you would need — AC, blender, kayaks, outdoor grill, every kitchen tool, etc etc etc. Unlike many vacation rentals, you can tell the owners have really thought about what it’s like to stay there and what you might need. And every day, they’re adding new things, Eric even built Adirondack chairs for the beach while we were staying there! We will certainly be back, this was one of our favorite places we have ever stayed.

A GREAT place to stay
You could not ask for better hosts than Lidia and Eric. They went out of their way to insure we had a great time on Exuma. They live in the house next door so they are always available for anything you might need. They are first class people. The house itself is just as advertised. It was freshly painted and very clean on the inside. The kitchen has everything you could possibly want and then some. The refrigerator worked well as did the AC, TV, and internet. The beach area was great and the water was perfect for swimming (all sand and no rocks). There is decent snorkeling about 50 yards to the left. Turtles swam by daily and they usually stopped and said hello (looking to be fed, I suspect). We will definitely stay with Lidia and Eric on our next visit to Exuma.

Best beach on Exuma. Centrally located. Once you check in, no reason to search other beaches because you are staying at the nicest, plus the beach/bay is very quiet (not many people use the beach). Owners are very friendly and helpful. You will love this place and you'll love Exuma.
