Family Christmas vacation 2024
THE best week with family! Jack’s beach house is an incredible spot for a vacation! The rope swing was so much fun, the kids found starfish right at the water line and we even had a huge shark visit the pier one afternoon. The house is well stocked with most anything you could need with exception of your groceries for the week. And Cay is wonderful to help with anything you may need picked up ahead of time. Looking forward to a return visit soon! Cannot recommend this place enough!

Best vacation EVER!!!
Jack’s home was perfect for our family of 10! Quintessential location on the water! Awesome snorkeling around the house—even has a “Blue Hole” (ocean chasm thriving with all kinds of ocean life). Kayaks for the whole group! Basketball and pickleball courts on the back concrete. Workout room, chef’s kitchen and screened porches! 3 outdoor showers!! By the way, the outdoor shower closest to the beach gets the hottest water Jack gave us great recommendations, and we took them all! We used Sharlene-the concierge-who helped us plan our whole trip. We rented a private boat AND reserved another boat trip/tour with a local captain. We rented jet skis, which were brought right to our house. We enjoyed 3 restaurants Shoreline, Blu on the Water and Coco Plum). We visited the sandbar in Roleville, the Tropic of Cancer Beach on little Exuma, and we had 3 chef meals made right in Jack’s kitchen!!! WOW!! There were perfect landscapes all around the house for our family pictures as well. A Christmas slice of heaven!! I’ve already recommended Jack’s home to other friends and family. Worth the money!!

We first stayed at Jack's Island House several months ago with our kids. It was so great we decided to go back with friends! Jack and his team are amazing and every part of the house and process is well orchestrated. The house is amazing in the perfect location. You will not be disappointed staying at Jack's House.

Relaxing and fun for everyone
Jack's house was spacious and has everything you need. It would be helpful to add a list of the items into the pdf, so guests can pack less 😊. I do wish there was more body wash soap, but no big deal. Jack and Kay were always responsive and available when needed. They gave lots of recommendations. My kids loved the rope swing and the trampoline. I enjoyed laying on the net and snorkeling. My husband enjoyed BBQing and relaxing by the fire pit in the evenings. So many beautiful tropical fish to see! We also had the opportunity to kayak to the sandbar and other places. The extra suite downstairs was used by the kids to have their private time together to play or watch tv. The gym room does need upgrading, but its not something i cared for while on vacation. The roads do make it difficult to drive to the house, but it was an adventure itself (do get an suv) and we got used to it after a few trips. Overall it was a great experience and we truly enjoyed the oasis away from home. We would love to come back to Jack's next time we visit.

Family Vacation
Family of 10 ranging from 70+ to 1, if you are looking for calm beautiful blue water with a private beach this is your place. Added bonus is the ability to snorkel right out of your door with minimal effort. All children were able to enjoy the water with the ability to run in and out without worrying about waves.

Private Island Feel - Stellar Stay
Jack's Island House exceeds all expectations you will read about. Well-appointed amenities, tons of chairs, umbrellas, coolers, beach towels, dock seating for both Sunrise AND Sunset. Turtles in the morning, fantastic breezes. Jack's communication and Kay's attention to detail make this the perfect destination for those wanting to get away from it all. We had a minivan and the road into the property worked just fine - go slow and navigate holes. Important to note that a massive storm will leave behind some blocked roads so be sure to check weather if something large is predicted. Not a deterrence in the least, just be prepared. Brown's Marina is close by to rent a boat. Forbes Hill Beach was magical (especially on a windy day - it's blocked from wind). Fannie's down the road has amazingly friendly staff and good chicken wings and loaded fries. The view from Blu is Conde Naste PERFECTION! You will not regret this oasis.

Great week and wish we were there longer
We had a terrific week at Jack's Place. Beautiful home on amazing world class setting which really has to be seen to be appreciated. Wonderfully private. Beach literally steps from the house. Dock is a ton of fun. And the view - Perfect. Looks out on water that is beautiful but never rough. House decks wrap around so you can follow the sun, screened or unscreened your choice. Nice kitchen, grill, terrific AC, good showers (indoor and out), comfortable beds and pillows. Easy communication when needed. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved Jack’s house! The dock was our favorite place to be with so many activities for the kids. (ages 6-16) Jack and Cay were very helpful and answered all of our questions promptly. The layout of the house was perfect for our group. We fell in love with Exuma and hope to return to Jack’s house in the future!

So Much Fun
Jack’s house has everything you need to have a good time at a beautiful location. The dock and lounge bet were great. We had the best snorkeling of our trip right below the dock and just down the coastline at the blue hole. The road back to the house is as fun as you make it, but nothing to seriously concern yourself with. The new pickleball court and net were great and easy to set up. We played every morning of our stay and used the workout equipment in the gym as well. The property manager was so sweet and got our only concern taken care of within an hour of our message. I’d recommend Jack’s house to anyone coming to the island.

Bahamas Vacation
This house was very nice and the location was amazing. Kids loved the pier and the Blue Hole a Short row away. I loved the expansive bonefish flats just across a 30 yd channel (paddle over in a kayak and wade forever). Location is off the beaten path. Car rental is a must. Owner was very helpful and house caretaker met us at the property when we arrived. Overall a super vacation. Hope to go back soon.

Our whole group had an amazing time at Jack’s house. The location is absolutely wonderful, especially if you like any marine life. We saw turtles, starfish, rays, and boundless fish. The house is stocked with everything you need to enjoy your time on the island. The host and his crew were very attentive to any questions.

The house is beautiful and just as described. There is a lot of marine life in this area and the sand bar out front is amazing. My kids really enjoyed the water trampoline, kayaks and paddle boards. The kitchen is nicely equipped. The owner and property manager are very helpful if you ever need anything.

Jack’s Island House has all the modern conveniences we expect such as a complete kitchen, laundry pair conveniently located, effective cooling devices, plenty of beach towels, televisions in every room, speaker on screened in porch, and grills. The bonuses were the kayaks, paddle boards, basketball goal, pickle ball court, fire pit on the dock, huge dock with lifts for 2 jet skies, trampoline in the water, and most enjoyed the magnificent turquoise colored shallow water surrounding us. My family agreed that was our favorite vacation spot!

Family loved it!
Our family, consisting of 6 adults and 2 grandkids, (3generations) recently completed a weeklong stay at Jack’s. Everyone loved it! The house and grounds worked very well us. The high points include snorkeling around and under the dock, a very well equipped kitchen, dining on the screened in porch every night, an exercise room/gym, very comfortable beds for everyone, the loft for the kids to sleep, and room for us to spread out under one roof. We rented a boat for the week which I would recommend for those interested in exploring the beaches and reefs around Exuma and Stocking Island. We found some great places we would have never has access to without a boat. We all agreed Jack’s has a comfort level including privacy that seems missing from newer more fancy digs. The manager at Jack’s was very helpful and always at our beck and call. Her son caught some very nice grouper for us for a great dinner one evening. The only restaurants we frequented were on Stocking Island - Chat and Chill and Piece and Plenty for lunches. Chat and Chill was most fun and more affordable too. Given all the amenities, you really can’t go wrong staying at Jack’s.

Perfect for Families of all Ages
We planned this vacation celebrating 60th, 34th, 4th and 6th birthday celebrations. It was our first vacation with all of our grandchildren. It was the perfect property. We had a total of 9 - 6 adults, a 4 and 6 yr old and an 8 month old. The kiddos loved the loft area while my son, his wife, and their infant daughter had privacy in the lower level bedroom. We like to cook, so the kitchen and grill area were well used and fully stocked. We had coffee on the screened in porch every morning, swam (adults and kids loved the rope swing), lounged on the dock, kayaked, used the stand up paddle boards, had fires every evening, rented a boat and explored, swam in the blue hole near by, star gazed, and slept well (beds are very comfortable!). Some of our group went exploring in the area and some were just content to stay put and enjoy the property. To celebrate the birthdays, we had Bubble waffle cones from Bubble Waffes and BBQ (Vaughan came to the property and prepared and served them here). We caught some grouper off the dock and even saw some sea turtles. I can’t say enough kind words about Kay, the property manager. She had our kitchen stocked with food, and checked on us throughout the week to see if we needed anything. Jack, thank you for your prompt communication and for letting us stay at this amazing property.

Awesome getaway, like a private mini resort
The stay was great. We were met and shown around the house, which is very nice and has many amenities just as described in the listing. We were provided a detailed document (PDF) with information including a lot of recommendations for where to shop, where to eat, where to go, and whom to rent or tour with. The location at the end of the neighborhood, at the end of a spit of land, makes it feels very isolated and exclusive. The tiny little private beach and private dock is a nice touch, and there are some services (like tours and rentals that can come/deliver straight to the house). For example, we rented wave runners from Matthew, one of the recommendations in the document I mentioned, and these were delivered to our little private beach, and later picked up again from the same beach. Overall the experience was great. Note that the island has one main road and a lot of unpaved side roads, including the ones that lead to the house. The unpaved roads are...adventurous, and I strongly suggest visitors rent a vehicle capable of dealing with some serious ruts and potholes. We had a minivan because we were a large group, and slow and steady did it, but it would've been better for peace of mind if we'd had an SUV or a Wrangler/Range Rover type vehicle. To us it added to the adventure, though, and overall this was the best house rental we did during our 2-week Caribbean tour!

Beautiful spot!
Loved our stay at Jack’s Island home. The house was better than the pictures portrayed online. Some surprises…? Other reviews mentioned the kitchen was well stocked and they were correct! It had every gadget needed to cook nearly anything you could imagine! The lower ground-level of the house is private. The bed, bath, and den area is not accessible to the main house through the interior. It was perfect for our family and afforded privacy for 2 couples. The upstairs had two beds/2 baths and an adorable loft area that would be a fun spot for kids. The outdoor area was awesome. Sunrise, sunsets, screened porch, fire pit, multiple seating areas, and lounging areas made it hard to leave the house. The house is located in the center of the island. You’re 15 minutes from the “town center” and 30 minutes from the airport. The roads are less than ideal, but luckily, if you prepare, there’s no need to leave your house! The road in to Jack’s is not good. Be sure to follow his VIDEO instructions on how to drive to the house from the main road (not Google map). Correspondence with Jack and Kay was awesome. Enjoy!

Return trip to Jacks
Second trip to Jack’s beautiful house. Weather was not great so it was wonderful to have the screened in porch and a beautiful, well-appointed kitchen for cooking meals. The house has everything you need plus comfortable beds. Serene, private location but easy access to anything you need. Great dock for star gazing. Even with not so great weather- Exuma is magical.

Awesome!
We really enjoyed our stay at Jack's Island House. It really did feel like we were on our own private island. The view from the front of the house was expansive 180 degree ocean view and it felt like you were on a stilt villa over the ocean or on a ship as there is just water view everywhere. It was so nice to have solitude and feel so private and yet it wasn't secluded in a creepy way - feels very safe. The snorkeling out front of the house right around the private beach and dock was the best we've encountered on all of Exuma (in the 2 trips we've made there now). Lots of fish just hanging out - really clear water. The view from the dock and house of the sunrise and sunset is amazing. The amenities of the dock with lots of seating, rope swing, catamaran net, and water trampoline were great. The gym with dumbbells was great. Lots of space inside and out of the house. There were only 4 of us but you could easily and comfortably fit 12 people. Kay and Jack were very responsive and friendly. Jack is super accommodating host and it's clear they really want their guests to have an enjoyable stay. I was concerned about mushy sand on that side of the island but the sand is great right on the beach at Jack's house. The view is just stunning and we really especially loved that we felt we were on our own private island. Thanks so much Jack and Kay. We will be back.
