A Slice of Paradise: The Sand Bar in Exuma
Our family just returned from a dream vacation at The Sand Bar in Exuma, and it exceeded every expectation! This luxury rental is truly second to none. This is our second time to Exuma and the location cannot be beat.The house itself is absolutely gorgeous. Every corner is thoughtfully designed, blending luxury with a welcoming, homey vibe that made us feel right at ease. It accommodated three generations of our family seamlessly, offering enough space for privacy and communal areas perfect for creating cherished memories.Heather, our host, was exceptional. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, answering questions promptly and providing excellent recommendations. Her attention to detail and warm hospitality made the experience even more special. We ordered food from Betty for night one and groceries since the store was closed after 3pm on Sunday.The location? Pure perfection. Nestled on one of the most picturesque parts of the island, Whether it was sunrise walks or evenings spent under the stars in the hot tub, every moment felt magical.This trip was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Three generations of our family shared paradise together, and The Sand Bar was the perfect backdrop for these unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to return to this little slice of heaven! Highly, highly recommend!

Great house for family vacation
This was our first trip to Exuma. The Sandbar listing represents this beautiful property well, but walking in the front door took my breath away. The house is great space for a large group, decorated warmly and welcoming, and provides all of the amenities you need for a relaxing, comfortable beach vacation. Heather was so helpful before and during our trip with tips and information. The property manager was available to answer questions and help in any way. The beach is soft, white sand and the pool and hot tub were put to good use. It was just an outstanding property!

The best place to stay in Exuma!
The Sandbar is an incredible ocean front home on one of the most beautiful beaches you’ll ever see. Our 9 night stay there as a family of 10 was perfect and Heather was most helpful in planning our vacation-from activities to chef services to just enjoying the house. The house itself is stunning, comfortable and well stocked. She has thought of everything. I highly recommend this property and host and hope we will be returning again. I can’t imagine ever staying anywhere else on the island. A true gem!

Sandbar did not disappoint!!
Tar bay is our favorite place to stay on the island and we absolutely loved our stay at the Sandbar. The house is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. We loved the common spaces inside and outside of the home. The views from the deck/pool and house are stunning. The house was very clean and well kept. We loved all the hats on the wall and even got to use some. The house is inviting and cozy And really does feel like home. Heather was amazing to work with, very responsive. Thank you for letting us enjoy your slice of heaven. We will be back!

We had the best time at Heather's house! We imagined it would be nice from the pictures on the listing but it's even better in person! The layout of the house was perfet for our group of family and friends. The ocean, the pool, the excursions Heather recommended were all top-notch. If you are thinking about booking, do it already!

Sensational Stay at the Sandbar!
Beautifully appointed house, with an incredible ocean view, anchored by the best outdoor area with an infinity pool. Relaxing, refreshing, and the perfect place to decompress and forget about the rat race. We had eleven in our party including five teenagers and the house accommodated us perfectly. We enjoyed a couple of boat rides, snorkeling, paddle boarding, among so many fun things. Heather was great and I highly recommend the Sandbar! I hope we go back in the future!

Home away from home!
I honestly don't know where to start because everything was so amazing and noteworthy. If you are considering booking, do not hesitate, you will be so thankful! From the moment of booking Heather is wonderful at communicating and giving you every resource you could possibly need. She is more than your typical vrbo host, she truly cares about your vacation plans. We went with a group of 10 adults and it was perfect for that size group. This home is in the best location, it is clean, has everything you could ever need and THE VIEW is breathtaking. It is truly hard to put into words how at ease you feel the whole time. There are so many caring for the home as well and a simple message away if you have any questions while there. The only negative is having to leave. It is a place we will absolutely go back to again and again!

Immaculate House
This was our first time to Exuma and picking the Sandbar house for our stay was the best decision we made. It met our expectations in every way. Not only is the house clean and fully stocked but it is decorated so cute. The pictures on the listing don’t do it justice. Everything about our stay was wonderful. The house was better than advertised and extremely clean. It was very well stocked, which is not always the case. Our family has been blessed to have the opportunity to enjoy many incredible family vacations. Therefore, expectations have gotten high. Somewhat shockingly, The Sandbar exceeded all expectations! The house, the location and views, the amenities, and the help from Heather and her team were all impeccable! I truly can't imagine anything that could have been better. Love The Sand Bar!
The house is amazing! We had a group of 6 adults and had plenty of room. The house is exactly as it appeared in the photos, only prettier. Heather our host was amazing! Great communication with Heather, who gave awesome recommendations on restaurants and activities, and had everything ready for us even on last minute requests. Chef Khristont made a wonderful and entertaining dinner for us at The Sand Bar one night that was a highlight of the trip. We were sad to leave The Sand Bar!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Sandbar. The house is just as great as the photos. Comfortable mattresses and the house is perfectly laid out. We enjoyed the hot tub on cloudy days. Lots of extra toys and beach equipment. Hope to be back soon! Heather was great and super responsive to questions!

Perfect location, beautiful new house!
From the day we began the reservation process to the last day of our stay everything was terrific. Heather made excellent recommendations and took care of several of the reservations personally, something the past VRBO owners we have had haven’t done. The house is even nicer than the photos. We recommend Betty for meal delivery and Chef Khristont for dinner (and a song)! Awesome Al took us the see the swimming pigs. Recommend it and note that it is about a 60 mile ride out and back. Highly recommend The Sandbar!

Perfect!
Everything about this property exceeded our expectations! It is just as perfect as it seems in photos. Heather was a pleasure to work with. We ordered food from Da Kitchen upon arrival which was not only delicious but perfect for leftovers throughout the week. Exuma was absolutely lovely and we enjoyed beautiful weather. Despite our best efforts with diligent bug spray and repellants, the sand flies got us if we tried to be outside in the morning or evening, so that is my only caution. The home is absolutely gorgeous and the owners have really thought of everything! We would love to return! ♥️

Incredible communication from the property owner. All of her recommendations were perfect from the driver to the chef to the grocery stocker. Everyone was incredibly efficient and very nice. Amazing location and views that cannot be beat. The groceries on the island are very expensive and we had issues with the bugs despite our use of bug spray. Other than that (none of which the owner can control), the stay was amazing. Look forward to being back.

Central Location and Awesome House
Took some friends down to Exuma who had not been before. Chose this house because of proximity to both ends of the island. The house was fantastic and as advertised! Heather was super responsive and made sure we were in good shape every step of the way!
