"Loon Retreat is a well-kept home with 4+ bedroom areas and lots of space. "We stay. In Alton Bay each year for a couple of concerts at Bank of NH Pavilion in Gilford. We extend it by staying for a couple of days at Lake Winnipesaukee The motel is perfectly located close to the venue and on the lake for swimming and boating while visiting BNH Pavilion. "We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at this beautifully restored 257 year old farmhouse. The location was peaceful and private — truly an unexpected gem within minutes of the center of New Hampshire’s capital city. During our stay we experienced two snowstorms and we were grateful for our host’s balance of respecting our privacy while also ensuring us safe access in and out of the snowy property. We can’t wait to return in June and again in September! "

"I didn’t look close at the on-line pics so at first arrival I had concerns. It’s a charming older style lake house that could use a bit of pampering but it was very clean and comfortable for our group of 8. The host and management company were great and easy to communicate with. We came up for our daughter’s wedding and we all had a very nice weekend. Thank you"

"We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was comfortable, clean, had everything you needed and was in a great location. We enjoyed walking across the street to the lake and up the hill to go the concert next door. We were also a short drive from Weirs Beach. We had great communication and hope to stay there again."

"Great spacious "studio" in a super quiet neighborhood. The bed was so comfy, the kitchen immaculate and to die for! I was lucky to have great weather where I was able to leave all the sliders wide open day and night. Good size for even a family with 2 small children."

"Well appointed, clearly newly updated. Bedrooms were on first and second floors which made it easier for couples, because the bathrooms were not in the bedrooms. It’s a beautiful property that I’m sure is wonderful year round. The only complaint was the garage was so cold we couldn’t utilize it."

"Stayed in the winter, place got a bit cold (it does not have central heat). Wasn’t a lighter or enough firewood for our stay but the host brought a lighter and more wood. Beautiful pond in the back and the location is good, with easy access to the highway. Neighbors were close by, we were asked to turn off the outdoor light because it was shining into their house. Cottage was clean. There are security cameras outside. Overall it is a cozy place to stay in a good area. "
