TV, small ensuite and very warm and cosy. The bed was very comfy. Room was very clean with toiletries provided and everything we needed for our overnight stay on the way to ferry at Cairnryan. "Everything great, except that when we booked we informed you that my wife had a breathing problem and used oxygen, and also asked whether you had a lift, to which the answer was yes. On arrival we were given a room on the side without a lift, so my wife was obliged to struggle up and down the stairs. On the side where there was a lift, the sitting room and restaurants required no use of stairs. Obviously you decided to ignore our problem for some other convenience of the hotel management. "

"It was clean and the staff offered to help with any bags or see us to our room. We stayed one night on our way through town. This is an old building. It was exactly what we expected and needed. If you want a new hotel this is not it. You will be disappointed. However, it is quiet, worn but clean, cozy, and very convenient at a very reasonable price."

"The room was a good size and we were lucky to be facing the loch. Looked to be have been updated recently. All the staff were excellent, especially in the restaurant. I would suggest you have a look at the water pressure for the showers though. I'd look to stay again if I was heading to Stranraer "

"This was the best accommodation that we had in our whole two weeks in the UK. The owners are absolutely lovely and amazing, the dinner was divine, the breakfast was very tasty and the setting of the lighthouse right at the coast is absolutely stunning. Also, our dog was very welcome and loved it. I definitely recommend this to everyone - even if just for a dinner or lunch."
