The lead up to our holiday was good however the day before we checked in we were requested to provide multiple forms of ID and credit card details, the agent continued to message requesting more and more personal information and the refused to give us the check in details for the house. The property was already paid in full and they had charged us a security deposit.We needed to have stayz customer service resolve this after more than 6 hours of messages as the agency was so difficult to deal with.
Once they gave us the details, the codes were wrong and we had to call again.
Once inside property, the pool looked like it hasn’t been cleaned, the gardens are very overgrown. There is no dishwasher as listed, the kitchen has minimal equipment meaning you cannot cook for more than a couple of people. In a house that sleeps 10, this is crazy. There is no bbq. The is damage to the house also, with a large part of ceiling in lounge sagging.
The upstairs bathroom had a sheer curtain on it, making it unusable at nightmare due to privacy. The agent did rectify this the following day when we complained. The water ran out quickly meaning some cold showers.
On check out, we had to send proof we left the key but the booking platform doesn’t allow for this but we kept being directed by the agent to send it that way.
One of the most frustrating experiences in dealing with this agency. I would recommend you book another property!
