"This was a captivating setting. If we were to stay there for a few days, it would have been delightful. As it was, we were driving back from Acadia NP. We just weren’t prudent. We were up for indoor camping and maybe even the wood stove, but elected not to stay after arriving after dark…totally our choice. Another time, it would have been PERFECT. "

"We had 4 adults and on 4-year old. The house and bedrooms were perfect for our group. It gave us a good base for 3 days in the area - first time on Schoodic Peninsula. Short drive to Bar Harbor for more sights, shopping and eating. Pretty crowded, but manageable. We would do it again! "

"The view was my favorite part! I would love to stay in the summer when I can sit on either porch or the upper deck and watch the sunrise/set and how the colors on the bay change throughout the day. It is a beautifully maintained home—nicely appointed and decorated. The king mattress is very comfortable! Plenty of pillows, blankets, and towels. The water pressure is amazing. Lots of TVs for those who need one. The wifi was great. It's an excellent spot for a family or girls’ getaway. Great...

"The cottage was cute and well equipped. At first as we were driving there it seemed so far off the beaten path. As we ventured out the next day to Acadia National park we realized we weren’t that far away. It was about a 45 min drive. We do like to watch a little tv before bed; so, if you want a tv, there is no tv. We listened to our music. It was a little too cold to sit outside to do any star gazing. The view of the sunrise over Cadillac mountain was beautiful!"

"Listing says it’s walkable, but it’s probably a good 20 minute walk and it’s not ideal with kids because of traffic once you get into Acadia. It is a short drive to Jordan pond house though. Our mattress was from 2007 and we did not sleep good at all because of it. Not enough seats for 4 to relax in living room after a long day of hiking either. Very responsive host so that was a positive."
