We had a lovely week's stay at Vespers. There was just the two of us in the cabin which sleeps 6. I think 4 would be fine there. The cabin is well appointed and clean and comfortable, with everything you could possibly think of supplied in the kitchen and elsewhere. Lots of storage space for clothes etc, which is often lacking I find.
Lesley has made great efforts to ensure the property is extra clean in line with Covid 19 rules and we felt perfectly safe. It was spotless. Hand sanitizer and soaps provided, plus extra towels
The location is right on the waterfront with a nice little garden with outside seating. We even managed a couple of barbecues..in September!! If you like fishing, this is the place for you! If it's too cold for outside, you can sit in the sun room and still watch the river go by.
Parking is a 5 minute walk away and you have to move your luggage along the towpath with a trolley (supplied) but it wasn't really any problem.
Lesley's communication was great throughout and she was very friendly and helpful.
The only slight downside is that there is no internet and also the 4G signal is flaky to say the least!!!
Recommended places to eat:-
The Greyhound, Hickling
The Pleasureboat, Hickling (lunchtime)
The Maltsters Ranworth. good food, ambience so-so.
Bridgestones, by the bridge for fish and chips (close early)
Do NOT recommend the Falgate Inn (only pub walkable). Awful, don't go there!!
I would thoroughly recommend this property..we may be back!
