"The house is sprawling, plenty of first floor room, and a top level apartment was great for a family’s needing their own space. The rooms were comfortable and each had a lake view. The kitchen pantry was well stocked with little extras, and there was plenty of fridge storage with two refrigerators. The lake is set behind the house with a huge yard that accommodates many games. The dock and swimming area were tidy, and they had plenty of water boats (boards,kayaks,canoes) and life preservers....

"We really enjoyed our stay at Paul's on Lake Elmore! We were celebrating two birthdays in the family over the weekend and the lake house was the perfect relaxing getaway that allowed us to spend quality time together. "This was a very pleasant stay in a great location within Hardwick. The restaurant downstairs was delicious and the area was incredibly safe. The street traffic can get to be somewhat noisy, but that’s to be expected for the intersection outside, but nothing TV or some music can’t drown out. "

"From the fresh cut flowers on the back porch to the wonderful homey ambience inside, this place is truly a home away from home. Beautiful scenery outdoors, and comfy and cozy inside. The front deck was beautifully decorated with fall mums, and inside various plants, basking in the sun make this cabin come alive. The host was a delight to communicate with, and available every time we had a question or need. We are already planning our trip back. "

"On the down side: It's VERY dark in the house. Other than kitchen & bath, lighting is poor. Walls are all dark which attributes to the lighting issue. The house is too beautiful to have such a gloomy look. Poor instructions from owner. Unable to discard trash as garage was locked. Unfamiliar with propane, I could only get one burner to work on the stove. No cleaning supplies were available for me to use if needed. Bring a wand if you want to watch television. "The house was very clean had everything we needed for our stay. The master bedroom and bathroom were amazing, much nicer than the pictures show. The only minor issues we had were the master bedroom door didnt fully shut which was really no big deal, just put a bag infront of it to keep it shut, and the shower in the master bedroom didnt drain well. Also not that big of a deal since there was another shower. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Rented the place in mid-oct for a second-marriage honeymoon. The place was easy to find and was set up perfectly for a two person cozy stay. House faces the sunset and has a deck and sitting porch. Brought my little boat and the boating access is across the street. We had zero issues. We would definitely come back!! Definitely worth it. 👌 "
