The cabin was quaint and easy to find. The pictures online are taken in full summer, so it was a little surprising to see such barren surroundings at the end of winter with bare trees. The heating worked well which was great as it was very cold. We knew there was a kitchen but on starting to cook, we discovered mouse droppings in the cutlery drawer and chewed up paper towels under the sink. The owner responded immediately and was very apologetic.
Nature had its way that night and in the morning fallen trees had taken out a power line. Once again, the owner was very understanding and offered a refund if we wanted to leave. We didn’t leave as the house served our needs. However, that night, after a day of rain, the sub pump ran all night. The pump runs under the house and the bedrooms are right next to it.
If you come in the summer when the weather is good, I am sure this cabin will be a haven of delight. It would be helpful to have pictures of the cabin in different seasons so expectations are set before arrival.
