To start, the owner reached out in advance to answer any questions and to give notice of what to expect. He even gave us a slew of recommendations for food and activities, which ended up being GREAT! "I booked this home on the assumption that the kayak was for a full sized person and not a child. So, if that’s important to you bring your own. The kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of towels and blankets. The home suited our family of 6 well. The back and Front porches were lovely. The side porch off of the master was not in good shape and we chose not to use it. There was a lot of mouse evidence and a large cockroach. We had problems checking in but the host did a great job communicating...

"A lovely little cabin tucked back in the woods. It was so comfy and had everything we needed. It is close to lots of hiking trails, Little River Canyon, DeSoto National Park and downtown Mentone. Our 2 standard poodles loved running through the woods around the cabin. Our host was very attentive to our needs and questions. I’m looking forward to going back sometime in the future. "
