Country retreat
My niece & I had an excellent weekend at the cabin. We loved having access to the kayaks & also relaxing on the swing on the deck. I appreciated the supply of coffee pods because I didn’t know what kind of coffee maker would be there. The area is lovely & uncrowded, which made it a perfect escape for us.

Yearly family boating trip
This hidden gem was an amazing getaway for our annual family boating trip. We have family come in town from as far away as Wisconsin to get together for the weekend. This cabin was everything as described and more. The entire group had such a great time and a few even set up tents on the property. Would highly recommend this property for a family retreat or even a couples getaway. Also, Katie, the property owner, was so helpful and accommodating. Thank you, Katie.

We fell in love with this property. It had everything we needed, inside and out. So comfortable and clean. Played corn hole in the backyard while we grilled, read books on the hammock, watched old Nic Cage movies. Truly magical. We already want to come back. Rented a pontoon from Indian creek Marina and the lake is wonderful. Katie was quick to respond and very helpful. Thank you so much!

This was a wonderful cabin for a romantic getaway. The owners take great care and pride to make everything perfect. It is a little more than we wanted to spend but it was worth it.

The perfect little spot
My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend and it was perfect. We had trouble finding the place but I point the blame on our GPS. Once we arrived we fell in love right away. It is secluded and private and quiet and that is exactly what we were looking for. The cabin had everything we needed and then some. Even though we did not use it, we were surprised to see wood, lighter fluid, and all the other needs for a small campfire. We have been to other places and this is usually up to the renter to obtain. The bed was super comfy and the UGG comforter was awesome! My wife and I bought the exact same comforter for at home we were so pleased with it. We contacted the owner a few times and received quick responses. If we ever venture out to the Hannibal area again we will definitely book this cabin again without looking at any other place. I would highly highly recommend staying here.

Charming, peaceful cabin retreat
My family loved our experience staying at this beautiful, rustic cabin! So charming, peaceful and loved the views and seclusion. During our stay, we drove one day to see the St. Louis Arch 2 hours away and loved returning to relax in this sweet little cabin for one more night before our return home. We hope to stay again in the future if we have another opportunity. The Dodge family is an excellent host!

Love this place! It was a little tricky to find, although the written directions from Katie were very helpful. It was so cozy and charming, and the perfect place for our group of friends to gather. Would love to come back in the summer time to experience the lake!

Great little getaway
My wife and I were looking for a few days away from the hustle and bustle. This charming cabin caught our eye -- nestled close to Mark Twain Lake. We enjoyed exploring the small towns nearby, and just chilling inside the quiet retreat. The property owner provided an abundance of information and recommendations for local restaurants and shopping. Everything about our trip was great.

Weekend getaway
This is a great cabin in a perfect setting. Everything was great, however there was a lot of food and condiments that was left In the refrigerator. Not a deal breaker, would have been nice to see a clean refrigerator. Also the spices in the cabinets were expired. Just an fyi. If you could get Wi-Fi it would be the perfect getaway. Very impressed and we look forward to next year Thanks

Exactly what i wanted
This place is exactly as advertised. A rustic looking (but quite nice) log cabin in the middle of nowhere. It was clean, owner is communicative and the cabin included lots of small extras to make our stay easy. Like firewood, charcoal, adequately stocked kitchen, kuerig and traditional coffee makers. Highly recommended.
