"Place was very clean. Had everything we needed. we only left twice to get dinner. Views were amazing, beds were very comfortable. The dock and deck were really nice and private and comfortable ! "Jim’s home was the perfect resting place & backdrop to my eldest sons wedding! The home provided space for all my immediate family members who traveled from Hawaii, Oregon, Florida, Vermont & New Hampshire. It’s was a quiet and peaceful retreat from all the hustle & bustle of a larger than life wedding weekend. The home has a large and well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and beautiful surroundings! We would def stay here again—thank you Jim for sharing this wonderful space with us!"

"One of the best places I’ve stayed! My father was raised in Barre and we often have to stay in Gardner when we visit. It was amazing to not have to drive 20+ minutes to get to my cousins farm. The house feels like home. The beds were all comfortable. It was nice to be able to spread out and have enough space for everyone to relax. Couldn’t have asked for a better situation or host! I will definitely be booking again."

Only issue was the listing says there’s 3 bedrooms (accurate) and 2 rooms with futons in them, but there was a couch in the den and a small couch in the living room, not really beds. Listing could use some more updated, accurate photos to show how it’s clearly a lived in house and not a full time rental."

"Spent 2 nights as a teacher with 7 students, and another chaperone to attend the Big E with FFA kids. Plenty of room, as kids don’t mind sharing, or sleeping on a pull out couch. Everything was very clean, and the property manager was very responsive and helpful. They even left some goodies for the kids! Would recommend!"

"My wife & I use VRBO rentals on a regular basis. This is on of the few spots where the photos actually represent the property. This place is wonderful...from the beautiful sunrises to the gorgeous sunsets. This cottage is clean, neat and just the right size for two folks. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots & pans. The couches were very comfy & the big screen TV was just right. This is a great spot to relax & enjoy God's creation. The property owner Michael responds quickly to your requests. "

"We had a wonderful family stay. We were there for a local family wedding. There's plenty of room & kitchenware. The master bedroom shower is very small though for such a huge bathroom! We saw a black bear in your backyard - he was very comfortable walking around and suggest to have your garbage cans in a different kind of bin :) but he was fun to watch! Overall a very good place to stay."

"We never left the property as it had all the comforts of home for a peaceful lake weekend getaway. Days filled with pristine lake swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding and pedal boats, early morning and night fishing… gorgeous sunsets, Nights spent by the firepit . House was spotless and had all the kitchen equipment we needed. All outdoor furniture and equipment ( grill, boats, ) were beautifully kept ! none of us wanted to leave when it was time to check out. "The check in and out times were very strange. Also I’d suggest bringing your own wood you can buy theirs but they don’t dry it out and it doesn’t burn completely or correctly so the campfire was very very very small and mostly smoke. It is cute and the cabin was a lot smaller then expected but still had a good time didn’t get to enjoy it all because again it’s like there wasn’t enough time. "
