Fall getaway
We came to relax, read, walk, & spend quiet time together. The inclusive front & side deck is great! No steps headed to back of property. It was very easy to walk around the cabin & the back property was cleared way back into the neighboring trees. The available books & puzzles were a great selection. Our two dogs loved roaming & walking the paved streets. Very quiet area. Neighbors extremely friendly. We also enjoyed music with Alexa.

Family Fishing Time
The pictures do not show how amazing this property really is. The interior decor is very cozy and well taken care of. My teens chose to sleep in the new recliners instead of the sofa bed and were very comfortable. Every amenity you could need is provided including a few extras. Just across the road is the fire pit and screened fishing hut with dock. Very roomy and not on top of the neighbors. We even took our 2 dogs with us. We saw all kinds of critters, including deer. Peaceful location full of beauty. Definitely will visit again! 5 STARS

This I a great weekend getaway!! We took our two young kids (3 and6) and dog for the weekend and loved this place. The cabin was very comfortable and had anything we might need. The enclosed room on the fishing dock was set up perfectly for all seasons. Took kids out on the kayaks and swap from the dock as well.

I want to go back
We loved our stay in this nice little cabin on the lake. The cabin was nicely decorated, comfortable AC, bedding was excellent. The lake is absolutely beautiful with a nice covered deck in front to enjoy the sunrise over the lake with a cup of coffee. The property has a nice dock with plenty of room to sit and just enjoy the view. The owner communication by text was excellent as well. We enjoyed being back in Wood County where my family is from and still have many friends so this was a nice homecoming location. I want to go back!

Great Weekend Getaway
The lake is quiet and beautiful. We love that the house is close to the water and includes: kayaks, canoes, floaties, and fishing poles. Our teen girls enjoyed exploring. Not to mention the fabulous Italian restaurant 1/4 mile down the road.

GREAT CABIN!
We had an incredible weekend at this lake cabin! Check-in was a breeze, and we were immediately impressed by how clean and well-maintained the property was. The covered dock was a standout feature—we spent hours enjoying the beautiful water. The listing was spot-on, and the cabin itself was cozy and comfortable, especially the bed, which made for restful nights. The property owners were fantastic, providing clear instructions and making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and can't wait to come back!

A Wonderful Family Getaway!
Everything was just as it was advertised. There are even helpful little notes all throughout the cabin that make everything you need effortless. The Riley's are amazing hosts! They contacted me the day before we were to check in and offered to push our stay by one day to avoid the rain from Hurricane Beryl. That was incredibly thoughtful and greatly appreciated. They shared all of the local places to eat and visit during our stay. I recommend this cabin and the hosts to anyone looking for an affordable, clean,relaxing and all around great place to stay. It was perfect for our family of 4 and look forward to another visit as soon as we can.

Wonderful stay
My husband and I had a wonderful stay. The cabin had everything we needed. Easy access to the lake so my husband could fish. The boat house has a screened in area if you want to sit outside and view the lake. We highly recommend the place.

Cozy Comfortable Cabin
We had a lovely stay during the Texas Monsoon Season of 2024. The cabin is comfortable and is well stocked with everything that you need. Plentiful pillows and blankets (the washer/dryer is a plus). The kitchen is well equipped for cooking full meals and even for baking. I especially appreciate the selection of books and games (both for adults and children) the nice hand soap in both kitchen and bathroom, as well as the beautiful bath gel and fluffy towels! We had multiple thunderstorms and power outages during our stay and our wonderful hosts came out at 10:00 p.m. to bring us lanterns and flashlights. That is great customer service! We will definitely be returning to this sweet cabin.

Perfect Lake Getaway
My husband and I stayed here for a few days and it was amazing. The cabin has a full kitchen and has all the kitchen utensils/gadgets you need. It rained a bit while we were there but sitting under the tin roof patio watching the rain roll across the water was simply wonderful. The scenery was beautiful and watching the squirrels, birds and deer was so peaceful. The dock has a cano, kayaks and indoor seating. The water is clear and there were 3-4 pound bass swimming under the dock. The cell service isn't great and the Wi-Fi is okay but we weren't bothered by it since we wanted the quiet. There are board games and DVDs along with some streaming services. We will do this again!

Relaxing Getaway
We had a lovely 3-night stay. The cottage was cozy and clean. The bed was very comfortable - soft, but not too soft. Pillows were great. Enjoyed a bonfire and smores at night; coffee and turtle watching from the boathouse dock at sunrise. We had a perfect view of the eclipse from the dock. Luckily, the rain clouds held off until after totality. Internet connection was strong and supported multiple devices. We were also able to smoothly stream movies in the evening, even with a thunderstorm raging. Owner was very flexible, and communication was unobtrusive and informative. Would definitely stay again if we ever get back down this way. Can't say enough good things about our stay. Very beautiful and peaceful.

Just right
it is the perfect getaway for my wife and I. We did all the things we like to do. Read, go on walks-around the lake, fish out on the dock, and centrally located to Mineola and Gladewater-places we like to antique. Not to mention a 10 minute walk to the best Italian restaurant we've ever eaten at- Taste of Italy. Will definitely be back!

4 night getaway
This is a great location on the lake. We really enjoyed using the kayaks and fising from the dock. The lake area is incredibly quiet. Communicating with the owners was a breeze. We are coming back as soon as our schedules allow.
