The owner was quick to respond to any questions. The house is in a great location and there were a lot of places to go hiking. Our host Fern was an angel, she answered our every queries promptly, she greeted us in person despite arriving late at night, checked back with us the following day!! The refrigerator and pantry were fully stocked, and the place was so thoughtfully and tastefully furnished. We'll definitely be back!!"

"A great way to get away from the busyness of life and just listen to a babbling brook running into the Dry River. The Yurt was clean, well stocked, cozy, and just what we were looking for. Would highly recommend! "

"We were looking for a quiet, out in the country place to celebrate our anniversary and came across this quaint cabin just outside Monterey, VA. The cabin is cozy, and it worked well for just the two of us. We took advantage of the hot tub which was very well maintained. We also lit up the firepit on another evening while watching the moon rise over the hills. The cabin is just a few minutes from Monterey (which sits in the valley just below the cabin.) Monterey is a small but interesting town...

"This cottage was the perfect place for us! It's in a very quiet neighborhood near a park that has a trail by the river and plenty of picnic tables. There is a grocery store nearby, good restaurants and just about anything else you would need. The house was spotless and we arrived to find snacks, and milk, eggs and butter already in the fridge. We highly recommend!"
