MOLD and the smell of it was BAD
House was dirty and mold everywhere in the kitchen, obviously no one had been there to clean in awhile. The smell of mold in the house was horrible made me feel sick. The floor in several places in the house were very soft felt like you could fall through when you stepped in those spots, especially in master bedroom along back side of bed was really bad. There was a pest control bill stuck in the door when we arrived and it was dated almost a month before we arrived so that tells me no one had been there since then.

It was very difficult finding the property no light on, no number on house or mailbox. even people coming to property to repair air conditioner could not find it. we had no air sat night till Monday. we could not get hold owner till Sunday afternoon and eventually hvac repair Monday. temp was over 82n in house. house is nice kitchen, living room porch. bathroom should have grab bar near shower. would've appreciated get some money back because unbearable heat two nites

Great Little Stay
Beautiful home and nice and cozy. AC wasn't the best but it wasn't horrible. Nice place to enjoy a get away, even with the kids. Had a nice little yard and nice porch to sit and play on. beautiful area in general. May end up staying again in a few years if they are still renting out!

Great Labor Day weekend!
We had a great time swimming and fishing from the dock. Location is great! The place was very comfortable and relaxing. Host was responsive and flexible. Awesome fire pit! Would definitely stay here again.

VRBO should have more info on property location. VRBO should also disconnect from the conversation once they have introduced the potential renter to the property owner. The Vrbo employee hindered our ability to talk to the property owner about the exact location on the lake and determining if that was where we wanted to be. We had no problems with the property owners and they were very responsive to the few hiccups that we did have. If Vrbo is going to act as an agent for the rentals, Vrbo should have any and all information concerning the property including its location on the lake and locations of the closest public boat ramps. Conclusion: property and owner were great; interaction thru Vrbo not so great.

Kerr Lake Weekend
This is an older property that has had many upgrades. It was clean and in good repair. We really enjoyed the peacefulness of the location. A sign with the street address at the entrance to the driveway would have been helpful. The internet service was very good. Recommend bringing a ROKU if you're interested in watching TV.

Nice holiday getaway!
Everything was as George said it was. Extras in the kitchen, bathrooms etc. Fully stocked with everything we needed for my family of 8. Stove needed a little cleaning, wasnt expecting to have to call the owner for key code door access, old food (mostly condiments) in the fridge and the heat took several hours to kick in. None of those were major issues to us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time! Would book again. Thanks George!

Fun fishing trip
Perfect getaway for a great catfishing trip. Especially a group of a few guys. I went with my son and son-in-law. We caught about 100 lbs of catfish and were tossing most back. The pier is nice. Beautiful at the lake. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The kitchen is small but has most everything you need. On the suggestion side. A few things. It’s hard to find. There needs to be additional directions like turn at the red well. The two propane tanks for the grill were both empty and disconnected. I had cleaned the grill that was pretty dirty (left my grill brush - you’re welcome haha) but I was unable to use it without going out and getting it filled or calling. We just let that go and cooked inside. The place could be a little cleaner upon entry but a group of guys will probably not complain. These are minor things that did not dampen the fun we had there. So I recommend this place highly for a boys trip fishing and I will likely rent it again.

disappointed
Very disappointed in the whole experience. House was not clean, beds unmade, garbage full, floors dirty. Thankfully cleaning people showed up and made the beds and took the garbage but left the floors dirty. Went to use the grill which was filthy. Couldn't use the screened in porch because that was dirty and loaded with spider webs. Not a glass (drinking) only plastic. (actually dishes, bowls all plastic??) No toaster?? Old food in fridge...Not very appealing at all. The property could also use a lot of TLC too. I'm usually very satisified with VRBO but this was not good

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at your quaint and cozy cottage by the lake! It was charming with all the at home amenities. Just a short walk to the lake and we were on our way to catching tons of fish!! We had lots of fun and made even more memories!! Thank you for everything!!! The Scott , Carter and Thompson families.
