This property is really unique. The location is wonderful and it is an authentic cottage that has been redone. As such, there are some quirky aspects that I really didn't pay attention to when we booked.
The location is near hiking trails and villages. We loved visiting Castril (30 min) and Cazorla (70 min). Cazorla has a big supermarket which was great for provisioning.
The patio space and view were great. The location is incredibly quiet! The kitchen is very nicely done but was not fully stocked (no baking sheets, very few glasses, not enough kitchen towels, needs a coffee machine of some sort). The bathrooms were re-done and very nice. The master bath would be fine in warm weather but there is no curtain so the water got everywhere and it was cold! The first floor bath was better. The biggest issue for us was that we stayed over Christmas and it was cold, and because the electrical service could not (yet?) handle the load, we couldn't run the electric heaters upstairs and relied on the heated bed pads and the wood stoves. We also couldn't run the dishwasher and the hot water heater, or the TV and the dishwasher at the same time. This is a problem that the owner is working on, so it may not be a problem down the road. Overall, we would stay again but not in the winter!
