It's a cute house. It was very roomie. We had a great stay. We had a little problems the first night but they fixed it right away. Thank you for your home. Great place.

Beautiful Spot on the Lake

The house was very comfortable and the hot tub was clean! The location on the lake is beautiful, but a bit out of the way. The fenced in area was perfect for our little dog! Be advised there are skylights in both the king size bedrooms.

Quiet getaway

The location was quiet and there’s a spacious area for hanging out and playing games. Plenty of sleeping space! Our dogs loved the fenced in area too. A few trails around the area, easy to get to by car. Would love to visit in warmer season. Only downside was the stairs leading to the rooms, pretty steep so may be unsafe for some pets. Also sleeps 10 but only one shower. The hot water never ran out though! Overall a great experience and very responsive hosts.

Family Vacation

This is the second year at the Lazy Bass. We had such a wonderful time. The house is in such a great location and all the local neighbors are so friendly. The only issue we had was the gas grill did not work. Lindsey with Blue Ridge Escapes was wonderful and said she would alert the owners. Can’t wait for next year.

Awesome family vacation spot

10 of us (ages 5-75) spent a wonderful 5 days at this nice home on Claytor Lake. We found it very clean and well stocked. The beds, including the sofa bed, were very comfortable. The kids alternated their fun time between the video consoles and the dock. The neighbors were spectacularly friendly and helpful. Overall, a great time.

Quiet Retreat

We celebrated our VT Grad with a Fun and relaxing vacation. The kayak and paddle board was a big hit. The house has beautiful views of the lake. We are already planning our next visit.

Disappointment

Very, very dated. Filthy when you lifted couch cushions. Soiled covers on furniture. Algae everywhere outside on deck and house which needs repainting. No dresser in one bedroom, closet stuffed with old bed covers with no handle on the door. Poor lighting in living rooms. Only one shower and upstairs tub very difficult to get in and out with no shower. Looked nothing like the pictures, filters must have been used on every picture. Outside under house very sloppy and cluttered. Nothing outside was nice and neat. Very uncared for and messy. Looked run down, worse property I have ever rented.

Relaxing getaway

We were looking for a relaxing weekend with family and the Lazy Bass was perfect for us. Great communication with the hosts, well stocked house and kitchen, great wifi, and quiet neighborhood. The big yellow house really stands out on the street and makes it easy to find and the fenced backyard is perfect if you bring a pet.

cycling/hiking trip to Hiwassee

Our stay at the Lazy bass was so quiet and peaceful and in a beautiful neighborhood. We felt very safe and had easy access to our trails. We cooked most of our meals and had plenty of supplies there to have a relaxing time; we even grilled outside while viewing the lake. The 2 king beds were very comfortable. Overall it was pleasant stay.

Tj’s lake house was the perfect getaway for my family & I! We loved the pet friendly option and being right on the water was what we wanted. The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful! 10/10 would stay there again!

Amazing Getaway!

The perfect place for a family getaway! Far enough away, but close enough to amenities! Loved swimming right off the dock, having a nightly bonfire, and plenty of space to spread out within the house. The state park swimming beach was only a 25 minute drive away and was the perfect place to relax with the family! Had an amazing time and will definitely recommend to others!

Short Family Getaway

My family and I came to this cute little place for a quick getaway! Loved that it had a fenced in side yard for pets to relax and play. The house was great, it had everything you need to cook and serve a meal and the neighborhood was very relaxing! Lake views were lovely! The only weird thing was the water fixtures reversed, so hot was cold and cold was hot! Once you figured that out everything else was amazing! Thanks for a great stay!

Great neighborhood

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lazy Bass. The house and location are perfect. We met such nice people who were also renting, but many who live there permanently. Everyone is so friendly. The only negative for the house is one of the bathrooms has a tub and everyone in our group was older. Sharing one shower with 9 people was a little tough, but we made do. The house is stocked with everything you could need.

An issue with a power outage, along with no water (a well, no power to pump the water) was very frustrating. It was no cause of the owner or the property. Waiting to get power back was all on the power company. Communication with the owner was spot on, who remained in touch with the progress of the power company. Even though they couldn’t correct the problem, they were there for us. 100%

Our family enjoyed our weekend here. Loved being right on the lake and how private the location is. Plenty of room for two families with teenagers. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub!

Relaxing Lakeside Getaway

This was a perfect place to relax with grandparents and kids. Even with the cold weather and snow my 7 year old son said it was the best weekend. We never even turned on the tv. The hot tub was a hit in the snow and freezing rain, my mother said she might never get out. Look forward to going back when nicer weather to take advantage of the canoe and kayak.
