We’re not clean freaks but the house has only been tidied not cleaned. Lazy, not good enough when accommodation costs include the sizeable cleaning fee. Beds & floors were fine but god knows when it was last dusted, AC filters & fans covered in dust, bedside tables & drawers were filled with dust & hair and hair all over the bathrooms, on shower glass and in drains. Surfaces not well wiped, kitchen drawers with food spillage, blocked sinks & shower drains. The management company said they would arrange a re-cleaning, which never showed up & they never called to advise they could not get one.
The pool was filthy, it didn’t look as though it had been swimmable for some time, algae around the lining. This is really disappointing as we picked the place because of the pool (with a pristine pool main pic) which was advertised as being available into Oct. The unusable state should’ve been communicated well before our arrival. To add insult to injury the pool repairman arrived on our departure day.
I feel so let down, ripped off. We’ve never had so many problems mount up on rental accommodation.
I will be seeking recompense with the management company via arbitration or small claims, we paid a significant amount of money for the stay & the property was not serviced or cleaned as advertised nor sufficient attempts made to rectify complaints.
This is a good house in an outstanding location but management company ruining it through sloppy cleaning & poor communication.
