Relaxing getaway

Took this time with my husband and baby to relax for a few days before the end of my maternity leave. The cabin was even more beautiful in person with the large windows overlooking the lake and trees. Everything was clean and comfortable. The communication with the host was perfect whenever we had a question. One thing I didnt realize was the stove and fridge are very small so i needed to improvise some thing i had brought with me to cook. Also, the oven temp runs very hot. Was trying to slow bake some ribs in a pan at a low heat of 200 but the heat was obviously much higher and they burnt. All in all, everything was wonderful and we had a great stay, very relaxing down by the water and comfortable in the cabin. Would love to return.

Very cozy house

We loved the house, it was very quiet, the view of the lake was beautiful (even though it was rainy and cloudy). The decoration was really nice and it felt super cozy. The host was also very responsive.

The perfect cozy hideaway

This cabin is perfectly situated on Lake Dutchess. The cabin was spacious and sunlit. The property owners provided detailed instructions for staying at the property and all necessities--nice linens, comfy throws and plush towels. Jason: a hospitable, communicative, helpful host (as were the welcoming, resident, lake duck family) ~ Large, beautiful Adirondack rocker by front entrance ~ “Warm, comfy, cozy” ~ Serene respite with tranquil water views, cool massive boulders/rock shelf surrounding property ~ Expansive (sparkling clean!) windows/skylights to the ultimate natural surroundings ~ Subtle artistic touches did not go unnoticed, including meaningful framed “treasures” ~ Slate flooring (and one shelf) adds character/charm ~ Comfortable mattresses, bedding ~ Stingray Music/peaceful scenes on TV added GREATLY to the ambiance Understated light colored wood, heavy bed frames that blend in perfectly with the wall panels, X frame couch lamp table, wood slat lamp shade tall floor lamp, and ultra thick wood bedroom doors were fan favorites ~ Easy temperature settings ~ Nice placement of large screen TV ~ Tastefully decorated with furniture that fits the space ~ Pretty, rustic window boxes filled with shades of pink/salmon impatiens and euonymus greens ~ Outside deck for comfortable lounging and taking it all in ~ Nostalgic accents beautifully married with the newly renovated (loved the wood paneling, wide plank flooring, bead board in the bathroom/dining area ceiling/walls, antique fishing rods displayed on the living area beams, nooks for storage, wood shelf by bedside, hook ‘n eye door latch and bear TP holder!) ~ THANK YOU for sharing your magical oasis!!!

Amazing stay

Lovely cabin full of positive energy! Love the details and the design, making me want to redesign my own house. Very well stocked and the owner has supplies for all activities on the water. There are so many amazing things to say but these two definitely stands out: 1. I'm a mosquito magnic but got zero bite here. 2. LOVE the quartz kitchen counter making all the baking at ease! Thank you! Such a lovely place!

Week at the lake

We had a great time at the lake house swimming every day, boating, and just relaxing. The beach and dock were minutes from the house. Our grandson was back and forth all day long. Great place to relax and enjoy the lake. The cabin was perfect for our stay.

Weekend getaway

We would 100% go back to this house. The cabin was immaculate and had all the essential equipment for very successful fishing. We went with a family of four and the cabin was perfectly sized. The host was responsive and attentive. I have no critiques as we had an absolute blast.

Perfect lakehouse

Happy Lake

What a great long weekend we had! Being on the lake, looking at the lake, bbq-ing with a view of the lake - it was all lake, all the time, which is exactly what we wanted. Plus we got perfect weather. Cabin is adorable and beds are comfortable, too.

Beautiful, quiet and clean!

There’s nothing not to love about this cabin—It is exactly as described in the listing. My partner and I were looking for a quiet place on the water and that’s exactly what we got. The fireplace is fantastic and very easy to operate. The beds are comfortable and the entire place is very clean. I took advantage of the fishing poles available and even caught a bass in the lake! We can’t wait to return to this little gem in the woods. Thank you!
