Beautiful location, nice house and plenty of room for family. The pontoon was a great bonus we had a blast on the boat and did a lot of fishing. The host was fast at responding with questions and was very nice! The only suggestions I had was the bed needed more pillows and make sure your legs are strong for the spiral staircase lol.

Beautiful views of the lake

We enjoyed being so close to the lake. Enjoyed fishing, the overly friendly raccoon, and the huge groundhog that ran around. I don’t think those beds are queen size though. Probably more like fulls.. as I think stayed.

Great Location, Disappointing House

The view of the water and bridge is beautiful! Great location. The house is run down and had enough cobwebs to stuff a pillow. Comfortable beds. Kitchen is well supplied with pans, plates, utensils, etc. The spiral staircase is made for Barbie feet. Even my size 5's were challenged. Our dog had to be transported up and down using the outside stairs and after a couple cocktails so did I! Place really needs a lot of small repairs. The large deck has rotten boards and no comfortable seating. Really fun having the pontoon boat but they, too, are in need of maintenance. I kinda felt sorry for the place.

Things to consider

My wife and I both feel it was overpriced for the conditions of the accommodations. It was by far the loudest house or hotel I have ever slept in. Consider adding the following to your rental, better knives, a can opener, a toaster and cleaning supplies.

Date getaway - first time to Land Between The Lakes

The best spot! Great view in the mornings and evenings and so close to the lake! Just walked down to fish! Convenient to anything we forgot and if we were too tired to cook there’s a great takeaway within walking distance. Safe neighborhood for walking and we had two dogs so we walked a lot! Very friendly neighborhood!

It's ok

It's a great location for us, and waking up on the Cumberland is awesome and the owner is really really easy to deal with. But, the main floor bathroom couldn't be used as a shower (we didn't ask to resolve, just dealt with it). The beds on the main floor and the basement were REALLY bad for sleeping with a couple (not a size issue though they are small for a couple, but they're just really old and bounce EXCESSIVELY continually waking up) and the furnace makes a HORRENDOUS noise all day, that if you sleep on the lower floor it'll wake you up every 10minutes, if the rickety bed doesn't. It was just a lot of money to not sleep for three days. If not for the owner being really responsive to issues, this would be lower.

Excellent Property & Great Location

We came down to ride 4 wheelers at OHV Turkey Bay and the house was great distance to park and the safety of being able to leave our trailer to go into town was nice! Amazing views from house of the lake beautiful deck wigh grill and seating. Washer & dryer access is a BONUS!

Getaway for friends

We had a very comfortable stay. Kitchen had all the useful pieces for cooking in. House was very clean. Lake water was clean and refreshing to swim in. Views were lovely from the porch. We picked very well for a house at the lake. Sunsets were awesome. We rented kayaks. Everything worked out well. We visited the local coffee shop in Cadiz too!

Quick Weekend Getaway

My son and his wife met my husband and I for a quick weekend getaway. It was perfect halfway point. This A-Frame house provided a nice cozy getaway. Parking was adequate for a number of vehicles, the house was clean, it was great being able to rent a pontoon thru the owner, who was very attentive and even told my husband we could put our paddleboards in off his boat dock and the views were spectacular at sunset. Nothing flashy, but a great stay.

A great family get together

Comfortable family get together. We considering doing again next year. Possibly with my daughter and grandkids. Beautiful views. My personal favorite was the dining nook off the kitchen.
