Absolutely perfect!!!!
A perfect house for our family. Myself, my sister, daughter and son in law had plenty of space, 3 separate bedrooms, 3 separate bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen and a store around the corner for supplies. Wonderful outdoor space. Gated property. Communication with Zelda was a breeze. She was very helpful explaining how appliances worked and places to explore. We loved our stay!!!! Thank you!!!

Amazing place. Fantastic hosts!!
I stayed at this property with 4 friends, two of whom were a married couple. We loved this place! It was spacious, had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and was incredibly well-stocked. It is walking distance from town and the marina. The grocery store is literally in the back yard. It could not have been better! Zilda met us at the house when we arrived. She spent a lot of time walking us through the home and how everything works — the stove was tricky so instructions were much appreciated! We went to the grocery store and ran into Zilda. Thankfully, because we needed help with Portuguese labels. She was available every time we needed her and checked in daily to see if we needed anything. This was an incredible experience and I will definitely return!

Great Central location
We enjoyed our stay using the property as a base camp for lots of hikes in the wilderness as well as urban walks to dinner and happy hour near the water in Horta. Zilda was a great host helping us plan hikes and with restaurant recommendations.

We loved the house and location. AC would be a nice touch since it gets bit stuffie over night and road gets busie very early , so open windows do not help much with a sleep. Loved that store was next door and we could walk to the town. Million dollar view from the porch. Great assistance from the manager and the owners.

Nice stay in Horta
House is well located in Horta with a fantastic view on Pico Island. Bedrooms are large and there are 3 bathrooms. When the weather is fine, you can use the terrace which is great. Very close to a supermarket.

Great location, amazing view, and everything you need
This place is at the top of the hill with an EXCELLENT view of Pico. It's great to wake up and take a look at the mountain. It's very large, well laid out, and has all the amenities. Having 3 bathrooms is a real luxury. Washer AND dryer make are super useful so you don't have to pack as much. It's also located right next to the grocery store, so it's an easy hop up to the market if you want to cook or get supplies. Zelda is a great host, as always and we really enjoyed meeting Lordes. Thanks for everything.

Perfekte Unterkunft - alles sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet!
Sehr schöner Blick auf den Pico. Sehr nette und immer hilfsbereite und ansprechbare Vermieterin bzw. Vermittlerin mit sehr guten Reisetipps für Faijal und Pico. Sehr praktisch ist auch der Supermarkt um die Ecke.

Un logement spacieux et quelle vue !
Ma famille et moi avons séjourné près de 2 semaines dans cette maison de plein pied. Celle-ci est fidèle aux photos, spacieuse, très agréable à vivre et avec une magnifique vue depuis toutes les pièces sur le Pico. Un pur plaisir pour les yeux du matin au soir. La maison est très bien équipée, je noterai tout de même l'absence de lave vaisselle, et meublée avec goût... Côté emplacement le port de Horta est en bas de la rue, compter 3 minutes en voiture. Une superette est située derrière la maison, très pratique ! Zelda est formidable, très serviable et à l'écoute. Un grand merci pour son accueil. Seul "point noir", mais un petit, la route passante et parfois un peu bruyante en journée. En résumé je recommande sans aucune hésitation cette maison !

Perfect Home Away from Home
A super clean, very spacious, comfortable house with spectacular views just above the town center of Horta. It is also conveniently located just below the grocery store so it was easy to supply with good, fresh local foods. The walk to and from town is about 10 minutes. It's steep, but easy and quite nice after exploring or going to any of the many local eateries. Zelda, the property manager, is amazingly accommodating and helpful. We would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Horta!

Everything as advertised and the views are amazing. Great location near groceries.
Our family of 4 adults and 3 small children stayed here for 6 nights. The apartment is very clean and kept. The amenities are as promised. The apartment shows true to the pictures listed on the website. The views were spectacular. Freezer had an ice maker!!! Horta can get hot but the apartment has modern windows and doors allowing for shade and for a nice breeze with screened windows. Zelda was a great help in orienting us to the island and the owner who lives nearby brought us fresh towels. Proximity to groceries is maybe 50 steps, a wonderful perk. 5 stars all around!

The house was exactly as shown and described on the HomeAway page. The place was super clean!
Zelda's house was perfect. It was in a great location, within a brisk walk of the Horta marina, and downtown shops and restaurants. It had a breathtaking view of Pico island, the ocean, and Horta port. Zelda greeted us at the house. We had been communicating on a regular, so it was great to finally meet gere and be there. The house was large and super clean. Everything our group of three needed was there. Plenty of bathroom towels and kitchen linens were provided. Every bedroom had a beautiful view, as did the kitchen, dining room and livibg room. Even one of the bathrooms had a great view! Zelda went over any details we might need to know. She also sat down with us ro go over our planned activities and helped us set up a tour around Fayal island the next day and a Pico island tour the say after that. She called and arranged everything with her great contacts right then and there. She also gave us recommendations on restaurants. Zelda was very welcoming and made us feel like she was there to make our trip the best, which she did! The kitchen was modern, with the appliances needed to make our stay comfortable. It had a washer and dryer, so convenient for us. The beds were comfortable too! We could lavish praise on Zelda and the property on and on. The bottom line is that out of four vacation rentals on our 3-week trip in Europe, , this was by far the best one that we had. We want to return as soon ad possible!

Fantastic apartment
From the moment we made the reservations to stay at Repouso do Milhafre, Zelda was a great help in making plans for our family reunion on Faial to celebrate the 100 year that my Grandmother immigrated to the United States. Zelda answered all my questions quickly and set up the most amazing taxi tour of the island with Victor Goulart. Thanks to Victor we were able to find the property where my Grandmother was born. Zelda was also extremely helpful setting up taxis for all of my family when they arrived and departed the island plus an amazing taxi tour on Pico. The apartment is modern, clean and exceeded all of our expectations. The furniture is very comfortable and the apartment is equipped with everything we needed. The views of Pico from every room was a bonus along with the close proximity of the grocery store. My daughter and family were allowed to check in early and when our departure flight was delayed, we were allowed to stay at the apartment even though the owners were waiting to clean the apartment. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality. I highly recommend the Repouso do Milhafre Apartment. Everyone (Zelda, Victor and the owners) went out of their way to make our stay an amazing adventure. Thank you to all.

Perfect house- loud street
We stayed here for a scuba focused trip to the Azores. The house is clean and modern with an amazing view of Pico. The kitchen is well equipped and we hosted 13 people easily for a cook out. The outdoor space is perfect and allowed us to rinse and dry dive gear safely in the locked courtyard. Having the grocery store around the corner was fantastic- it is open from 8-9 daily and has all you need. We had a rental van to explore the island and shuttle the group and gear to the dock. It is a 10 minute walk downhill to the main street, a moderate uphill to get back. Zelda is responsive and quick to answer emails or calls. I requested fans for the bedrooms and had them the next day. The downside is noise. The house sits right on the street, and due to very warm weather and no air conditioning we had all the windows open at night. The popularity of scooters and motorcycles means loud vehicles pass your bedroom window randomly at all hours. I slept with earplugs every night and was ok, but some others in the group suffered with the noise. So this is a fantastic house in a somewhat unfortunate location. The traffic and noise from traffic is not constant- but a loud one comes by often enough to be annoying. We hit a warm spell and needed the windows open- if the windows were closed it would have been fine. I do recommend the house, but be prepared.

Lovely, well kept vacation home.
My family and I enjoyed our stay at Repouso do Milhafre. The place is spotless, and very well maintained. Beautiful views of Pico and the convenience of a grocery store a minutes walk away are hard to beat. Zelda was a great host and was very quick to respond to any questions we had. She also had lots of great suggestions for making the most of our holiday. We loved the town of Horta and the island of Faial! Karen and family, Toronto, Canada

Repouso do Milhafre - Horta
The Repouso do Milhafre guesthouse is a very good place for a weekend hide away in Faial island. I was really happy to be able to accomodate my friends over a couple of days while visiting me on the island. They were really happy with the house and they had a great time. It has plenty of room for 7 people. Nice dinning area and lots of bathrooms.
