A treasure on Lake Catherine
What a lovely property from top to bottom! The hosts have clearly taken great care to attend to every detail that will make their guests feel welcomed and comfortable. The cabin is an easy drive from Hot Springs and is a delightful respite from the busyness of the city.

Amazing Lake House
My husband and I loved our stay at this special cabin on the lake!! Jan and Bob were gracious hosts and provided so many amenities that made for a comfortable stay, even blueberry muffins and eggs! I sat on the back porch every morning enjoying the beautiful lake views, while my husband headed out in the kayak to do some fishing. It is definitely a secluded and relaxing spot, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It was so great we have already made reservations to go back in the fall!

Lovely Lakeside Charming Cabin
The owners have meticulously crafted a charming cabin with everything you need and so many personal touches that make it a special place to stay. While it may look remote, it is actually well within the area’s many activity locations while providing a welcome respite. When we visited, the water pump was found to need replacement and the owners worked hard to get it fixed, ultimately refunding two nights because the problem was major. Nonetheless, together we all collaborated to make the best of it. I would return to fully experience the place again. Do note the bathroom is downstairs and the bedroom is upstairs if you make middle of the night trips as some of us with older bladders do.

The stay was a prescription for solitude and peace. The cottage is earthy and grounded to all the invitations for centering, resting, and connecting to Spirit and the elements. Lovely.

We love the lake house. It was very peaceful and relaxing, for our weekend getaway. Janet kept us updated on everything, including the power outage due to the storm that happened the night before. We will be booking again.

Wonderful Hot Springs Stay
Wonderful property located right on Lake Catherine. Cottage was immaculate. Grounds were beautifully landscaped. Well equipped and comfortable. Views were amazing and the location is excellent- close to stores and town but removed from traffic and tourist areas. We loved it!

Perfect lakefront getaway
This was an excellent lakefront property. The hosts provide all the basic supplies you might need which makes for less trips to town and more time on the dock! They even supplied breakfast for our first morning! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back some day.

Perfect cottage for two
This cottage exceeded all our expectations. It has everything you need and more. All the attention to the details and decor are second to none. The views of the lake were amazing. We enjoyed watching the sunsets, sitting by the fire, fishing from the dock, kayaking, and grilling dinners. It’s close to all the attractions the area has to offer. Jan and Bob were easy to communicate with and have done an outstanding job with this rental. We didn’t want to leave!

Best Cottage in Hot Springs
This place was so wonderful. Waking up to the lake view and being able to paddle boat right from the cottage was awesome. The hosts were very nice, and their landscaping is just beautiful. When we're back in the Hot Springs area this will be where we stay. There is also a coffee maker upstairs and downstairs which was an added bonus. Oh and the reading nook was a nice little surprise!

Awesome lakefront cottage.
We had a quiet, relaxing stay! This little cottage was much more than we expected! The views from both levels were beautiful, the rooms were bright and nicely decorated, the furniture was comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with just about everything we needed, including coffee pods, creamer, sugar, bottled water, paper towels, garbage bags, storage bags, salt and pepper, to name a few! In the bathroom there was shampoo, conditioner, lotion, makeup remover, first aid kit, hairdryer, and ample towels and washcloths. There were also too many extras to mention, like mosquito spray, charcoal, firewood, etc. The outdoor space was so inviting with beautiful landscaping, sitting area, fire ring, and porch swing. Bob, and Jan, were exceptional hosts, and it was apparent that they go out of their way to provide the best experience for their guests. We will definitely return, if we visit Hot Springs in the future. Highly recommend!

Couple’s weekend getaway
This has to be by far the coziest and cleanest rental we’ve stayed in. It had the best location and view was amazing. We had initially planned to do some hiking as well as go to the spa. Neither happened because I tried making the reservation too late and it was cold and raining most of the time. Despite that, this was the best getaway we’ve taken in the 15 years we’ve been together. We love to cook and this rental had everything we needed to do that. There is a toaster oven instead of a full size oven but we was able to bake scones and cook steak in it. During the winter the lake is not usable but we still enjoyed the view. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Great get away from the city
Loved this place. The owners were very friendly and helpful. This is a great place for couples or less than 3 people to stay at as there is only one king bed and a futon. Sadly didn’t catch any fish but it was nice to canoe on the lake and watch the sunset from the dock.

Beautiful place to stay
First impression was fantastic. Nice place with perfect landscaping and little things all over the place that add to its cottage feeling and welcoming atmosphere. Owners were very nice and responsive to anything we needed. Had a nice fire ready for us to light and plenty of wood for another one the next night. Very peaceful and exactly what we were wanting to recharge and relax. Thank you both for a perfect stay. We will definitely be back again.

Just beautiful!!
What a wonderful cottage! We really enjoyed our stay. We were in it fir the nature and the property didn’t disappoint. It was so pretty to watch the birds and sit in silence and stare at nature! We really enjoyed the cabin and was stocked with all necessities. There wasn’t anything we wished for that we didn’t have. We ate at great restaurants daily and enjoyed the fire setup nightly! We will definitely return!

Perfect Elopement Weekend
Great place nice to have flat fire area with seating (great swing) right by the water and two kinds of grills. Got married upstairs in pouring rain and it was perfect, just us and a preacher. Host thought of every detail to make stay enjoyable down to the little rugs by the bedside since its hardwood floors. Look forward to a return on our anniversary.

Best VRBO I have ever stayed at. Secluded getaway!
This is hands down the best VRBO location I have ever been to, and the best VRBO hosts we have ever had! Bob and Jan thought of EVERYTHING. There were muffins, eggs, and cereal in the fridge for our first breakfast, the fire pit outside was already prepared and just needed to be lit, they had us stocked with water and coffee pods for the Kurigs, there were flashlights, a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, lists of restraunts and places to fish, games, dvds,books, everything you could think of that you might need, they had it taken care of. They really go above and beyond for their guests! And they have quick communication if you have any needs! We were looking for a secluded getaway for my birthday and this location did not disappoint. And its just a short drive from the town of Hot Springs. Its a little piece of property people only dream of having! I woke up at 6 am every morning just to drink my coffee on the fishing dock and watch the sunrise. Every day I saw so much wildlife. Deer, geese, ducks, many species of birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and a bald eagle that periodically flew across the lake. The only thing I didn't like about this place was the fact that we had to leave! They have a little canoe and a paddle boat if you want to take it on the lake, you can fish off the dock, you can grill outside if you don't want to go out. Ron Coleman Crystal mine is only about 25 minutes away.If we go back to Hot Springs I will definately be coming back to stay here

Don’t miss out on this!
The cottage on the lake is secluded with beautiful lake views, just like the pictures. Bob and Janet have taken care of detail after detail in decor and amenities. Very clean! Lots of bottled water plus eggs, cereal, milk, and yummy blueberry muffins for us to have the first morning. What a nice touch! It was such a restful, peaceful stay; I didn’t want to leave.
